Watch Rondon Score Both Goals In Venezuela’s 2-0 Win – Video

Newcastle center-forward Salomon Rondon scored both of Venezuela’s goals in the 2-0 win over Panama last night.

The Newcastle number 9 was at the right place at the right time and he’s getting in amongst the goals.

Let’s hope he can keep doing that at Newcastle this season;  he’s looked an accomplished player for us so far this season.

Salomon Rondon – in amongst the goals

We can understand why Rafa wanted him at Newcastle this season.

Wonder if he can go one better and get a hat-trick against Arsenal on Saturday?

I’m assuming this game was played in Panama or Venezuela or somewhere in South America which means he has a long flight back today – difficult to see him starting on Saturday

martoon, a fair assumption. Rafa seems to prefer to start players he’s been able to work with over the international break anyway.

I’d expect Joselu to start, Rondon to play for the last 20-30 minutes, barring injuries / red cards messing his plans up.

Great to see him scoring two very different goals, it won’t hurt his confidence at all, though he won’t get that kind of space in the PL.

RobLeenio – I’d agree – the only exception might be Yedlin – I think I’d rather play a tired Yedlin than Manquillo 😀

The game was played in the fabulously named
Estadio Rommel Fernández – Panama City
