Next Four Games Crucial For Newcastle

It’s the two-week International break which are usually boring with not much news about the clubs.

Unfortunately in the four games played since the last International break we have collected just one point – a draw at Crystal Palace.

What could have been an excellent result at Old Trafford was denied by three Manchester United goals in the final 20 minutes with the winner coming in stoppage time.

Rafa Benitez – Newcastle manager

Even a 2-2 draw would have been a good result we were not expecting.

But it was another defeat, the 6th in eight league games so far this season.

Wins can quickly take us away from the relegation zone, being so early in the season.

Currently, we are second bottom of the league

18Fulham9-145
19Huddersfield9-143
20Newcastle9-82

Four more league games will start on 20th October when this International break is finally over.

We must start to pick up some wins and be out of the bottom three and higher up the table before the next International break on 24th November.

Here are the next four games for Newcastle.

Date Fixture KO time
Sat 20 Oct Newcastle vs Brighton 3:00pm
Sat 27 Oct Southampton vs Newcastle 3:00pm
Sat 03 Nov Newcastle vs Watford 3:00pm
Sat 10 Nov Newcastle vs Bournemouth 3:00pm

Four wins would be nice – and that’s not impossible.

Comments welcome.

    Jesper,
Last year Everton never recovered from that horrendous fixture list they got given and had to sack Koeman.

Is there silverware for best goal difference in the bottom 10? We might have a chance there. It’s not to be sniffed at. It could save us… Respect The Points!

Will wor top goal scorer this season surpass Perez’s amazing performance as TGS last season? We can only imaging the excitement as the season winds down. Is it going to be 5 goals? Six? A spectacular seven? It gives me shivers up me spine just thinking aboot it!

Charles Calthorpe, The Jackal or Le chacal, he’d be handy right now.

Let’s not forget Hoser Loo is still wor TGS so far! It’s this kind of output that makes me worry about us. Generating goals. That should be job one right now. Spend 10 hours on shooting practice. Shoot ’til your foot falls off. Shoot from inside the box and outside. Shoot!!!

Even with his wonky knees Ba was wonderful. We need a new Ba. Or another Cisse. Still playing you know. Alanyaspor. Had 37 in 117 for us. Brings back some good memories.
