We suppose Newcastle fans have to be wary of a new takeover story coming out a few more times before we get to January.
Most of them if true – will be groups looking around at a high level – but things will not get serious until non-disclosure forms are signed.
We had the soap opera of Amanda Staveley trying to buy the club for around three months late last year and nothing came of that.
If Mike Ashley is not going to sell he should tell people that and not have this charade of saying he is trying to sell the club.
When will he take the club off the market and say that he really tried to sell it but he didn’t get any serious bids coming in.
Ashley’s said that before and we doubt he wants to sell now.
Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez
Here are some reactions from Geordie fans and they are mostly skeptical and that’s hardly surprising.
What you have to think is during the time it’s allegedly been for sale clubs such as Everton,Southampton,West Brom etc have all been taken over.None of them have anywhere near the potential of #NUFC with massive support who’s closest geographical rival is Burnley.

If as Micky Quinn suggests Mike Ashley wants too many strings attached to #NUFC sale, what did Amanda Staveley agree to before making those bids!!
or as it just an arrangement between the two. Fake bids!!

Also don’t buy this whole “pay £300m now, pump £100m in, get relegated and the club is only worth £150m” risk. If the club was worth £150m in the Champ, and these so-called wealthy groups could see the potential of the club, they’d have snapped it up at £150m! ? #NUFC

There’s only so many take over talks you can believe #NUFC
