Paul Dummett is fit again and will start at left back today in place of Javier Manquillo against Brighton after the local lad has recovered from his slight hamstring strain.
The bad news is that Salamon Rondon is still not fit, but at least he’s back in training and could be available for the game at Southampton next Saturday.
With Newcastle playing so well last time out at Old Trafford the team is likely to be the same one that started that game with Dummett in for Manqillo.
Paul Dummett – back after injury today
So here is the side we think will start today – in a 4-4-2 formation:
Yedlin Lascelles (c) Fernandez Dummett
Ritchie Shelvey Diame Kenedy
What would your team be for today?
This is a critical game for Newcastle today, and we are hoping we can get our first win of the season and maybe get out of the bottom three in the league.
About six fans in ten think we can win today.
