Rafa Benitez has just announced the team for the vital home game against Watford today.
Newcastle will try to win their very first game of the season today after playing 10 league games and one League Cup game without a win and picking up 8 defeats.
🙁
Rafa has started both Salomon Rondon and Muto up front perhaps even in an attacking 4-4-2 formation.
Salomon Rondon – starts today against Watford
Ayoze Perez drops to the bench for today’s game so just one change from last Saturday’s 0-0 draw at Southampton.

Two in five fans think we can win this game this afternoon.
We hope very much they are right about that!

“Rafa, thinks of the team and what is best for the club, he is not afraid of dropping anyone. thats what being a manager is, thats what he gets paid for.”

Comment #21Well this is it lads, our best team on paper (excluding Lejeune arguably) and the set up Rafa wanted to utilise. If this doesn’t click we are gone with the wind.

What a day, been awake for ages now, but it’s kind of strange, I have this calm feeling that everything is going to be ok, that today is going to be the start of something special. a bit like when SBR took over.
We now have a manager that pretty much everyone should be happy with, I Cannot think of any reasons for any fans not to get behind the whole club now, money being spent, English players, top manager with winning history and mentality.
the future is bright”

Comment #40Surely we must get a win today – Rondon needs to put himself about – and not saunter around like when he came on last week.
2 – 1 to the Toon.
