Newcastle are now facing a lot more of the clubs out of the perennial top six clubs in the Premier League through the end of this year.
That’s after we faced five of them in our first eight games and lost all of them by just a single goal.
We could and probably should have picked up some points against Tottenham, Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal, and Man United – but we didn’t.
But we have picked up 4 points in the last couple of games with a draw at Southampton and our first win of the season against Watford last week,
And the eight games left this year could allow us to start picking up some wins.
There’s only top team we have to play before the end of the year is Liverpool away on Boxing Day.
Rafa Benitez – shown during training at Benton
Here are the fixtures through December 31st:
Sat 10 Nov Newcastle vs Bournemouth 3:00pm
Mon 26 Nov Burnley vs Newcastle 8:00pm
Sat 01 Dec Newcastle vs West Ham 3:00pm
Wed 05 Dec Everton vs Newcastle 7:45pm
Sun 09 Dec Newcastle vs Wolves 3:00pm
Sat 15 Dec Huddersfield vs Newcastle 3:00pm
Sat 22 Dec Newcastle vs Fulham 3:00pm
Sat 26 Dec Liverpool vs Newcastle 3:00pm
Sat 29 Dec Watford vs Newcastle 3:00pm
Ho many of these games do you think we can win?
Not shown is the fixture on January 2nd at home to Manchester United and we took all three points out of this game last season with a phenomenal performance.
Let’s hope we can be well away from the drop zone by then.
And of course I shouldn’t limit what Newcastle can do – Rafa will be going all out for a win against his former club Liverpool the day after Christmas.
Some strange things can happen in this world.

Comment #3Ben Dawson is receiving high praise within the club for what he is doing with the youngins.
The confidence he has given them since Beardsley was put on Gardening/Decorating/Tidy Garage/Empty loft leave is very noticeable. The youngins love playing for him.
Beardsley is still in my top 3 of Toon players but maybe he is not suited to coaching

Comment #4“He’s way behind the required standard and honestly should now be chalked up as an error in judgement and allowed to leave for whatever we can get for him.”
Rafa is not saying that he is failing.

to undo a lot of bad basic coaching he received at Norwich.”

Last season NUFC 10th , Bournemouth ,12th on same points as us ,Watford 14th on 41 pts. This season Bournemouth,Watford pushing for top six , we are where we were this time last season. with all due respect to Bournemouth,Watford ,we are set up for top 6 so why won’t anyone take the plunge and buy us?

If the players are happy they tend to play better….

good on the club for letting the Beardsley situation drift and for not taking any action. he’s been an fantastic servant of the club and deserves a respectful departure in the circumstances.

Comment #10Jib, that’s daft. If his training was rubbish at Norwich why invest 12m in him. As for beardo, the way the club handled this was shambolic. Maybe he’s a Racist twat who wud have been sacked in a week by a normal organisation?

You just never know

probably not though it was probably just an ill-judged joke.
