Difficult Game Coming Up For Magpies – Our Players Must Be Confident And Ready

Salomon Rondon has returned from his International exploits and he will be ready to play for Newcastle in our game at Turf Moor next Monday night.

By then the other teams in the Premier League will have played their games so we will know where we stand in the league.

At the moment we have 9 points from 12 games but we are just a single point above third-bottom club Cardiff City.

We are level on points with Burnley but  have a better goal difference

Burnley finished 7th last season and qualified for the Europa League, but this season has not been a good one so far for the Turf Moor club.

Salomon Rondon – in training at Newcastle

It’s going to be another difficult game for us on Monday night and this is what Rondon has said about the game in the Chronicle today:

“We go to Burnley in good spirits but also knowing that the Premier League is very difficult.” “Things can change from week to week.”

“That’s because every team is at such a high level and no matter whether you are home and away each team is going to have a great chance of three points.”

“Most importantly we have to be up for the battle.” “We have to be ready.”

“We’ll have to do the same things we did in the wins against Bournemouth and Watford.”

“I have flown to Japan and Iran for games.” “It has been a long way but it is part of international football.”

“That’s what it’s like for the international players to represent their countries, and I’m always happy to do that.”

“I was always happy to take the number 9 shirt.” “I know what came before with it with players like Alan Shearer and Andy Cole wearing the important number.”

“We all know what has happened in the history books.” “For me, the most important thing is confidence.”

Here are where we are in the standings before this weekend’s Premier League games.

Since on average over the last 11years ,on average ,we spend about 3million on a striker
Who do you think we might buy this time ?

Well our best striker signing of the Ashley era was a free (Demba Ba) and that spoiled it for the rest.

No youngsters shown in those pics, I’d imagine that Ben Dawson wants them for the U23s on the same night.

So for 3 million or less who would you buy to get us 20 goals a season?

You see the way they limit the cash limits the player ,we’re left looking for a bargain or hoping to get lucky

    It’s all one persons fault

After the January transfer window do you think the clubs net spend on Richard Scudamore will STILL be higher than that spent on the team?

    Yep

Mike Ashley proving to have only one thing on his mind…and it wasn’t success on the pitch for Newcastle United.

His only concern being how the football club could further increase profits and expansion of his retail empire.

He hadn’t come to help Newcastle United, he had come to help himself.

A total refusal to run NUFC as a proper football club trying to be the best it can be, just one that would have to try and exist on a lowest possible spend.

A stated club policy of not trying in the domestic cups and then when by mistake Newcastle finished fifth and had a European adventure, Ashley’s puppet Alan Pardew declared on behalf of his boss ‘Thank God we’re not in Europe again’, you literally couldn’t make it up.

Success on the pitch actually an inconvenience to Mike Ashley and his minions.

    Remember this

(Reuters) – The High Court in London said on Tuesday that Britain’s Sports Direct (SPD.L) must hand over documents relating to an investigation into how an auditor compiled its 2016 accounts.

    Mmmm Lesh .. read it.

I reserve the right to occasionally mention music on de blog as Iv got a single on vinyl by Kevin Keegan and another by Chris Waddle and Glen Hoddle. The duo produced a crap single under a naff name but I can’t recall the name . The single is in a box someplace . Or the Name of Kevin’s single of of the top of my head. Jib ?

As it’s a football blog I reserve the right to mention the price of Sausages at M&S if there’s a bargain to be had , I mean players need their sustenance.

Lesh will let you know if I find what’s required then will drop it for you if your not to far and it’s on my travels. Ta .

It’s always helpful to read the contents of your own links
    😀

It was made clear that Sports Direct itself is not the subject of an investigation by the FRC,
which has jurisdiction over accounting firms and accounting professionals.

Some of our younger readers of the blog might well be in fits if they are unaware that Keegan and Waddle and Hoddle appeared on TOTP.
Were there any other footballers made records ?

Not team efforts . Solo. ?

    Toon22.

Just thinking …If Ashley is still here in 4 seasons time then it’s odds on he will have took 15 years of each Newcastle Supporters lives away both spiritually and monetarily and suppressed expectation under austerity Football and winning nothing with who knows how many relegations

15 years of Ashley and winning nothing and not competing for anything other than the escape relegation by the skin of our teeth trophy , year in year out.

Fifteen years of nothing, fifteen years of your lives….coming up soon.
