Newcastle Must Now Go All Out To Sign This Star Player In Early January

There’s good news today that the Chronicle are reporting that sources tell them four bids have been received for the club and they are all about 300M – the price Ashley wants for the club.

If that is true, it’s good news, but we don’t blame fans one little bit if they are still skeptical until the deal is actually done – if that’s to happen.

But it’s looking more likely that Mike Ashley could be out of Newcastle before the end of January.

That’s why it’s crucial Newcastle go all out in early January to try to get some of Rafa’s transfer targets through the door.

Miguel Almiron – let’s hope we can sign him in early January

The top target seems to be Atlanta United playmaker Miguel Almiron.

It’s possible in the MLS to find out what each individual player receives in wages.

It looks like Almiron gets £1,502,709 yearly which could rise to about £1,804,822 with bonuses, according to the Chronicle.

So Almiron could expect that wage to increase by at least 50% if he signs on at Newcastle – maybe even double?

He’s getting close to £30K/week and that rise to say  £45K/week or more at Newcastle with bonuses included.

What could also help Newcastle sign Almiron in January is the recent news that Newcastle have received four bids.

And if the club is sold, it’s almost certain that Mr. Rafa Benitez will sign a new long-term deal to stay at Newcastle.

Rafa will deserve every penny he gets for guiding the club so well in the last 30 months or so.

Almiron’s shirt is also the fifth most popular player based on the sale of player shirts – he is one of the best players in the league.

The season will be over after the MLS Championship game between Atlanta and Portland this Saturday, and there’s no reason Newcastle cannot agree a deal soon, and have it made official on January 1st.

Head of Recruitment Steve Nickson will travel to Atlanta this week to begin negotiations for the player with Atlanta officials and his agent.

Let’s hope we can get Almiron to Newcastle by early January.

It would be nice to have a signing announced very soon and before the end of the month.

What do you think?

No naivety at all mate yes owners are not a charity but the difference with the vast majority is that they are always looking to grow the club and compete in the sport whereas Ashley hasn’t even tried to be competitive!

Will be interesting to see if the club gets all the available revenue streams available to use again to actually see where we really are in terms standing rather than being told we can’t compete with Bournemouth etc

Almiron would be a good start
Sign either Kennedy or Rondon on permanent
    Origi on loan
A quality left back and another midfielder

Should be more than good enough to guarantee a safe mid table finish for the new owners before the real fun begins next season !!

I am with you mate as you only have to look at a club like Bournemouth.10 years ago they were on the verge of liquidation and now look at the growth under the right tenure ship. Now look at our time under Ashley and what has been achieved…Nothing.
2 Relegations and countless scraps at the foot of the table to avoid relegation.Masses of money disappeared with little reinvestment. Neglect of the stadium and the training facilities,In essence we have gone backwards as a football club and at present are no more than a lower half team of the PL.

The race is on. What will happen first? Parliament agreeing to a Brexit deal or Mike Ashley agreeing to a deal to sell

Maybe initially Ash did have some more adventurous plans for the club and to ”have a bit of fun”. That may work with a conference team, ie getting all your mates in on a jolly, but as soon as his infamous drinking buddies Llambias, Wise and later JFK entered the building it was only ever going to go one way.

Some great stuff from OLG last night but if as he says the powers that b at NUFC monitor this site, then I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t have liked OLG’s comment ”They have pushed him over the edge!”

I would be grateful for anyone but was hoping for Blank. Not sure if Kenyon is held in particularly great esteem at either Manu or Chelsea and whether he has got a lot of financial backing to take us forward, but OLG said whoever it is is ama-zing !!! OLG are you there?

Hate it when you get all these multi takeover reports and then it all goes dead quiet again. Just want putting out of our misery.

I can’t lie, I’v been desperately trying to be a pessimist about this potential takeover, remembering all the previous lies, but screw it, I can’t do it. I’m going way over the top, getting excited and just generally getting carried away and jumping on the bandwagon

If it does happen what is going to become of Toon 22 ???

Although we all would love to see the back of the parasitic slug from newcastle…until its confirmed u cant believe a word thats printed as he’s shifted the goal posts so many times to suit his needs…and even then no one will believe any of it till the money starts to flow for players…and probably not even then! Lol

Lee Charnley was 40 in August
He was originally taken on as
    Russell Cushing’s assistant in his
    early twenties
He has seen 15 managers come
    and go .
The NUFC foundation is his baby
Any incomer would need to keep
    him on for a while.

Would be good to see Rafa have the tools to compete against the very best in the league rather than just hope to keep the goal difference respectable!!

Apart from Jose and Pep Rafa has won more trophies than Klopp Pochettino Howe etc combined !!

Under Ashley we signed some of the best players this club has ever seen

Unfortunately pre-Rafa many of those players were mismanaged by pardew and mclaren

So many promising players had their careers ruined or almost ruined here:
Cabella, thauvin, mbiwa, sissoko,de jong, Ben arfa facundo the list goes on

When you add to that list the likes of
Cabaye, tiote,ba, janmaat , debuchy, mitrovic
You see that in spite of Ashley’s penny pinching we acquired many great players under him

His fatal flaw wasn’t his miserly spending but his predilection for shit managers

part of me is very sceptical but i really wanna dance a jig and screem wooooohoooooooo
i think there is something to it
but again he could move the goal posts at the last min

i am also prying for a clean break nothing to do with that man or his companies

rockefellers have serious cash dont they, peter kenyon for me proven track record and understands football
    could work well with rafa

Nah, joking again, given previous I err on the side of caution. I give it a 40% probability of happening.

Would go some way to explain the latest odd financial results though, writing off all those “onerous contract provisions” to the tune of tens of millions, to clear the books up and sift through the assets/liabilities for any potential buyers.

    So maybe he is serious.

In hindsight Carr was very good and even his failures were probably due to being 5th or 6th choices. But just imagine what lacazette and P.E.A are worth now as just 2 examples. We just never had the combination of right manager, chairman, owner, scout at the same time.

If the foundation is his baby AND he’s good at running it, then I wouldn’t have a problem with him staying on, after all he just did what he was told.

It must be difficult handling negotiations knowing you’ll be sacked if you’re successful – well, that is if he has anything to do with them at all.

Anyway, we have a game to win tonight! HWTL, make it a perfect storm.

Do you not think everyone just got so bored with your colo infatuation that now they just give your extreme views a swerve.
There was never at any point a clamour as you very exaggeratingly put it, from anyone for Shar to replace Lascelles. We just happened to win 3 on the spin when Lascelles and shelvey were out where we had previously won none for 10 games. People liked the fact Shar can play the ball out, Lascelles can’t, simple as. No one was saying Shar was a better defender than Lascelles. You’re so fixated on some things you can’t see or appreciate anyone else’s valid point of view.
