We have three players close to each other in our Man of the Match poll for Saturday’s very disappointing 0-0 draw with bottom of the league Fulham.
Ki, who is off to play for South Korea in the Asian Cup, tops the poll with 21% of the vote.
They are closely followed by captain Jamaal Lascelles and goalkeeper Mark Dubravka both with 19% of the vote.
It’s good to see Jamaal playing so well in the second half on Saturday.
Martin Dubravka has to be the signing of the summer for only £4M from Sparta Prague – he’s now a top goalkeeper in the Premier League.
But it was a poor display and a poor result last Saturday from the lads.

Ki Sung-yueng – Man of the Match
We can only hope that in our next two games – away at Liverpool on Boxing Day and away at Watford on Saturday – we can pick up a win somehow.
Both are 3:00pm kickoffs – which is unusual these days.
Here’s hoping for a shock win in one of those games.

Comment #1I voted Ki, but was hoping the Fulham keepers name would be there for double-punching his own defender. Favorite moment in a dismal game

Comment #2Just been listening to The Cardiff manager complaining to the FA about only allowing 2 loans from the premier league and one from the other English leagues. Brings me back to a discussion we had a while back where it was said only 2 from all domestic leagues.
Appears to be still some confusion what loans are allowed. Apparently you can get up to 10 loan players from a broad.
His argument is he wanted to bring in Some young English players to step up to the premiership and help the national team. 3 English players and 10 foreign players loans how is that helping England.

Comment #5So I can praise rafa for a win against Huddersfield but can’t criticise his consistently cautious approach against teams like Fulham. Just to annoy jail, do you remember when we had the chance to do real damage at home to Sunderland under fat Sam? We didn’t lay a glove on them, with 50000 geordies roaring us on against the lovely chaps from wearside. Got an equaliser with 6 mins to go. There are times when rafa quite simply has to go for it, at home against bang average teams. I don’t think it’s in his DNA.
