Steve Howey Appeal – Don’t Shoot The Messenger!

Steve Howey set things alight on the takeover front when he was interviewed last night on BBC Newcastle’s radio show ‘Total Sport’.

He said his information from “a very good source” is the takeover (acquisition) deal is much further along than most people realize.

And Steve even said an announcement related to the takeover could be made before our next home game – against Manchester United next Wednesday night – KO time 8:00pm.

Here’s our piece on what Steve said last night that caused the frenzy.

Steve Howey – please don’t shoot the messenger

Steve was probably just a little bit alarmed at the frenzy he has caused in the Newcastle fan-base so has chosen to put out a Tweet clarifying the situation.

OK – so if the deal doesn’t happen and it was all fake news – we know who to blame.

🙂

But we really hope the former center-back is accurate!

Take no notice of the entire internet Steve. 90% are teenagers with a keyboard and mummy problems. No one is really expecting any news soon

    Sorry repost

Dont listen to all this talk about the takeover. I have respect for steve howey but even he said this what ive heard and not shot the messenger.

They said the announcement due b4 man united man which is 2nd jan. There is no way accounts, lawyers, FA and who ever else involved will be working on 1st Jan.

Likelyhood is there not working just now and will not be working until 5th jan

If new owners let rafa go, they must have plans in place for a pretty top level coach.
