Newcastle Cannot Let This Player Leave This Month

Ki Sung-yueng picked up a hamstring injury in South Korea’s 1-0 win over the Philippines in Group C of the Asian Cup this week.

It’s said to only be a slight injury.

Jonjo Shelvey will be in Barcelona this week checking on his thigh injury with a specialist after it seems to flare up when he plays, and he’s had the injury over two months now.

And Mo Diame picked up a knock and is nursing what is hopefully only a minor problem.

But with that background, it would seem to be ludicrous to allow Isaac Hayden to leave the club this month.

IsaaHaydenen – will stay until the summer?

He still wants away and both Leeds United and West Brom in the Championship are keen on taking him.

Isaac put in a transfer request and wants to leave for family reasons.

Rafa rates the central midfielder who is a technically gifted player and doesn’t want to lose him – especially halfway through what is another relegation fighting season for Newcastle.

We are so sick of Newcastle fighting relegation and this is the fourth PL season running we have been fighting against relegation.

Hayden has only made nine appearances so far this season but he has featured in each of the last four matches.

Rafa will have to let Hayden leave but that is likely to be in the summer when Newcastle can bring in a replacement for the former Arsenal player.

What do you think?

Comments welcome.

Wijnaldum at home had some great performances could have seen him becoming a great no 10 for us in Rafa’s system if we had stayed up that year

Different role for him at Liverpool but he is good for them now

Genjikai, agree with you to a point – I can’t blame him for having England ambitions. Even his old man told him to stick with NUFC, but having finally got back in the England set-up, if he’d gone down to the Champo those days would have been gone.

As it turns out, they were anyway.

Still a cracking player for us, especially under Benitez, I’d have him back like a shot.

Main man of our attacks. Would if been the main star epesh with the current quality.
Think that would set his england career up better like. Short sightedness on his half.

Whilst there are no transfers as yet I think there is still some small hope that takeover talks are still ongoing. Wishful thinking maybe to imagine that a takeover may happen but we can but hope.

Reading some of the negative comments from yesterday regarding our dear friend Jib, I have to vehemently disagree that the blog would be better off without him. In my opinion he is part and parcel of this blog and although sometimes controversial he receives a lot more abuse / stick than he gives out. He takes it like a man and doesn’t start whingeing and crying like others on here. The blog would just not be the same without him and as he stated that he would be taking a break until we sign someone or there is more takeover activity, I fully expect him back at some point but when that might be is the 10 million dollar question.

It’s tragic that we have never had the perfect symmetry of a great owner, manager and players, apart from hall, kk and that squad then (Asprilla, Albert, ferdinand, ginola, beardo, shearer etc.)

We had a complete muppet and chancer of a manager in pardew when he had the cabaye’s, tiote, Guti, HBA, cisse, Ba’s etc.

Now a good manager but an appalling owner and a pathetically uninspiring squad.

    If we’re saluting midfielders

I’d like to give a shout out to Lee Clark.

One of our own and a cracking player.

If Keegan hadn’t listened to the press about defence and hadnt bought the crab Batty to take Clarks place we would have won the league.

It really wouldn’t take too many players to lift the quality of the overall of the team its just the players we need do cost money! We essentially need quality replacements for Wijnaldum , Sissoko , Townsend and Cisse/Ba!

Get them in and we really would be cooking! It would allow us still to be solid at the back but provide danger every time we won the ball as we are so one paced at the moment apart from Yedlin and Atsu.

No discussion of quality midfielders from the entertainers era is complete without mentioning Temuri Ketsbaia. The guy was a legend in his own lifetime.

And the crossing ability of Keith Gillespie was something to behold.

I quite liked Scott Sellars too, grabbed the goal in a 1-0 win over the Mackems which meant we were virtually assured of promotion to the Prem under Keegan. Never gave up.

We are too slow in attack, we need some pace,, yes Atsu lately has given us a bit, we are relying on big Sol too much, if he gets a knock we are deep in the clart.

Yeah we just don’t have enough quick players to do little passing triangles that get you behind defences that sit deep at home !

Will we get this type of player in this window? Probably not !

How has Hayden earned his wages at this club, what does he add?!?!. I suppose with the other donkeys being a WEE bit unfit, we will have to keep him, oh how about we go and buy a few players, what a f in shambles.

These players should easily be affordable for a club of our size and the amount we earn even just from TV money!!

Almiron , Townsend and Laxalt signed to improve our wing play and pace!

Kagawa on loan as no 10 till end of the season!

Then get another striker on loan from Barca or Madrid’s youngsters !

    EASY!!

Going back to Liverpool game VVD was playing in our half, Why cos we had no threat, same at home teams sit deep as we have no one to get behind them or back them up,

on a lighter note, Why did Wes Saunders and Bruce haliday get mentioned when we were talking rolls royce centre halves?

You should be working for kba, you lie and spin so well. Oh and I didn’t blame rafa for liverpool. And I don’t want Martin ó Néill. Or stuart Pearce. Or Pearson. All lies and spin from you.

Premiership experience doesn’t come cheap unfortunately and the players that would improve us would they leave their teams for us at the moment? Bournemouth, Everton , West Ham for example have lots of players that would improve us but there is just no chance we can get any of their top players!

Experience in the league doesn’t always guarantee it will work out at another club either sometimes gambles from abroad are the way to go !
