Can Newcastle Take Something Out Of The Game At Chelsea?

Things on Tyneside are not looking good at the moment.

The takeover seems to be in limbo, although we still hope something can come of that and that Ashley will sell.

Nothing much seems to be happening in the transfer window with Rafa having to shop again in the bargain basement and attempt to bring some players in on loan from the continent.

His top target in January, Miguel Almiron seems too expensive for Newcastle.

Rafa Benitez – can he turn things around?

And we are heading into the next four league games that include meetings with Chelsea, Man City, and Tottenham.

What we need is for some good results – a surprise win against one of the top six clubs would do it.

Otherwise, we could be in the drop zone once we have played Tottenham on 2nd February, which is three weeks on Saturday.

Let’s hope Rafa and our players can start turning this season around.

We need some positive news at Newcastle right now.

lesh “If Kenyon’s ‘best fit’, why hasn’t he been granted exclusivity?”

Would we know if he had been, with and NDA in place? Just saying…

As an aside #chopperwatch – big helicopter flying North towards SJP this am just before 08:30. Was directly under it so couldn’t see its colour, let alone its registration.

Apparently Ashley’s chopper flew up to an undisclosed location just near the A69 between Carlisle and Newcastle yesterday morning before flying back South in the afternoon.

Just passing on the info, not attaching any undue significance to it.

It’s become evident Ashley has reduced rafas role to that of head coach. He sold him a different vision and possibly allowed him to achieve it in the championship but once back in the premiership it’s been reduced to exactly that of his predecessors

There’s no reason why an announcement shouldn’t be agreed and made – if the will to complete an agreement is there. But, there lies the question.

And, I wonder whether Ashley’s got his eyes on buying Hexham? That might explain his helicopter – unless he’s been visiting some of his chums among the aristocracy….… or god forbid, the Fenwicks!
