Newcastle Forward Speaks About The Opportunity At Chelsea

Ayoze Perez has been interviewed in the Chronicle, and he admits that last Saturday’s performance against Blackburn in the FA Cup when we got a lucky 1-1 draw, was not good enough.

Our home form has been terrible this season with only two wins in 12 total games in all competitions at St. James’ Park.

Our away form has been a little better, thank goodness.

And we are away at Chelsea on Saturday in the late kick-off game.

Most pundits will expect this to be an easy win for the home side, but this is where the opportunity lies for Newcastle.

Ayoze Perez – hopefully, we can get something at Chelsea

If we can take something out of this game, it will help to raise the mood among Newcastle supporters – which is not good at the moment.

It will also give our players some added confidence.

This is what Ayoze has said in the Chronicle as he looks forward to the game at Stamford Bridge on Saturday:

“Away from home we have been better which is the strange thing. That is one positive.”

“But imagine if we were better at home? We wouldn’t be in trouble now.”

“Chelsea will be tough but we have done well away so hopefully we can get a result.”

“We should be looking forward to playing Chelsea with the pressure off – it should be enjoyable.”

“Our home form hasn’t been good enough.” “You could suffer at Chelsea and it is a tough game.”

“Chelsea are doing well and Stamford Bridge is always a tough place to go.”

“It’s now all about the reaction, we have to find a way to react the best way we can.”

“It will be tough but a good day to get back to winning points.”

Chelsea have won six, drawn four and lost only one home game in the Premier League this season – so it will not be easy.

If we could swap Drinkwater for on loan Kenedy, all the better. Saves all the hassle with the loan fee.

Fulham are stepping up their campaign to convince Victor Moses and Danny Drinkwater to join Chelsea team-mate Gary Cahill in making the short hop across west London in January.

Cahill has hardly featured under Maurizio Sarri this season with just 21 minutes of Premier League football under his belt and is looking for the chance to play in a first team.

The centre-half is understood to be on the verge of joining Claudio Ranieri at Craven Cottage but Fulham are keen on two other fringe members of the Chelsea squad.
Victor Moses and Danny Drinkwater have been shown around the Fulham training ground, along with Cahill, in an effort to convince them it is the right place for them.

Drinkwater was a key part of Ranieri’s title-winning side at Leicester which subsequently earned the midfielder a £35million to Chelsea.

If Fulham sign those 3 I’d say they are all but staying up.

It is so ashleys tenure that we are a third of the way through the window with no signings in sight and unlikely to make any…we desperately need them. Others with strengthen around us. I just hope the sale really happens, the idea of Ashley staying beyond the window closing just doesn’t bare thinking about.

If I was the new owner I’d sign this lot given the opportunity

    Laxalt
    Moses
    Drinkwater
    Almiron
    Carroll/haller
    Brahimi

They woupd at least be players I’d genuinely try to sign.

c-dog, the dangers of skim-reading headlines, I was mixing up Almiron and Martinez.

Still, he’s a star of the MLS. Does that automatically mean he’ll be a success here? Not necessarily.

Your Dutch dancer’s grace and vision reminds me of dads at weddings! If you haven’t been one such, think before you take the floor – your kids’ll disown you.

    And Martoon

Wasn’t Beardsley at Carlisle Utd before moving to Vancouver White Caps?

If I was an advisor to Almiron I would say to him that if he decides to sign for NUFC he should be ready for a torrent of abuse from a section of his new club’s support. If he doesn’t score a hatful of goals almost immediately he is likely to be dubbed ‘Almoron’ or some other witty play on words.
Just ask Ritchie, Joselu, Perez, Murphy, Lascelles, Manquillo, Diame…………just about anyone really.

This Steve what ever his last name is head of recruitment? Ramsay going to Juve on a free end of season? What the flying fcuk is this head of recruitment doing. Ramsey leaves gunners for free and no one at Newcastle thought let’s offer them 10-15 million and see if we can get gunners want money or no money. Head of recruitment my ass.

Aye, that Northern Echo piece is a sad sad read and confirms what a bustard Ashley really is. Happy to break a man by isolating him rather have the balls to deal with things face-to-face, he is evil personified and deserves whatever ills life throws at him.

So where has NUFC suddenly got £17M from to bid for Almiron . Have we had a surprise visit from a mystery benefactor? Suspect not. Perhaps we have arranged to sell Lascelles and or Dubravka and Ashlie proposes to pocket the net figure.
However , more likely – more FAKE NEWS!
I hate the January window at NUFC. In my opinion it should be scrapped.

A question I ask often myself is why the national media hasn’t picked up on Ashley’s behaviour during his ownership of Newcastle United? I can only assume that there’d be a real threat of litigation that would make them think twice about running such an expose.

But that’s Ashley. Never mind whether or not there’s truth in any publication of his antics, he’d just throw his wealth at his legals and make the threat of defending legal action prohibitive.

    Simply, he’s a bully.

Looks like Fulham are looking at Drinkwater and Moses on loan having already taken Cahill.

On this player Rafa is supposed to be trying to get isn’t it just the papers getting names mixed up again?

I heard that Benitez isnt trying to get Almiron from Atlanta, he’s getting an Almera from Autotrader. Not budget cuts per se, just he’s had his parking spot painted smaller and can’t get his Doblo in now.

Leah, do research? Really. He’s going to be on about 140000 per week and we see Almiron wants 100000? Newcastle offered Owen 120000 per week back in 2008. It’s these types of players that could save Newcastle’s season and we do nothing to even attempt. That’s the point!!!
