Denis Wise Advising Mike Ashley Is Bad News On Several Fronts

There’s a report in the Times that Dennis Wise is back in touch with Mike Ashley and he is said to be advising the Newcastle owner.

The Times report says that Wise has become an ‘influential advisor’ to the Newcastle owner.

This is not good news for the club and the fans on several fronts.

First of all, if Mike Ashley really wants to sell the club then why is he bothering bringing Dennis Wise back into the fray?

Dennis Wise is not liked by Newcastle fans when he was the Director of Football in 2008-2008, and they will not be happy about this report.

Dennis Wise and Mike Ashley – February 2009 at West Brom

Wise bringing in players without telling then manager Kevin Keegan was the major reason Kevin left the club back in September 2008, and we were relegated that season for the first time from the Premier League.

If Dennis Wise comes back into an official position at Newcastle United, it will mean that Rafa Benitez is not staying on as the Newcastle manager past June.

What a disaster that would be.

It also adds credence to the view that Mike Ashley will not be selling Newcastle.

The report also makes claims that Wise has encouraged former players like Tim Sherwood to defend the Newcastle owner’s (abysmal) running of the club.

It is also claimed the former Director of Football and Chelsea midfielder has met with Justin Barnes and Lee Charnley several times recently.

But he is said to have had no contact with the current manager Rafa Benitez.

We have a renege outfit running Newcastle United under Mike Ashley.

And we have to wonder what Rafa Benitez thinks about all of this?

    Potential transfer….. don’t believe it.
    Potential takeover…. don’t believe it.
    Potential new board member….

Turdboat can have as many hangers on as he wants, he will still be a Turdboat.

Chronicle sources at the club deny any discussion between Charnley/Bishop/Wise.

Jail, Jib could be right. Acting as an ‘advisor’ is hard to prove or disprove so the times journalist might be making noise. That said knowing Ashley it’s all too believeable. Typical of you though Jail, trying to score a point off another poster when the Wise bombshell is the issue, not your hatred of Jib.

    Munster,
Not to worry, Jobs also proved that the hold up in the Almiron deal is because of the amount of transfers they’re doing at the moment.

    **TyneMouth

The DW news would appear to be true.

    Ha ha ha

being 76 has not made you wiser (excuse the pun)**

In the absence of any denials from the House of Ashley, it would *appear* to be true.

Unless of course you know other ‘wise’…

    …and no I won’t excuse the pun, so there…

Pain in the blog…………. In response to your comments accusing me of posting a right wing , foul and abusive tirade at Jane in reply to the comment made by Jane about discussing murder. Firstly it was not in reply to that one comment but to a number of comments made during the evening that together added up to a blatant attempt to deflect any negative comments away from Mike Ashley. You obviously didn’t see the bigger picture there but it must be difficult for you with such a small screen.

Secondly to label my comments foul and abusive when I simply pointed out strongly what I was instinctively feeling about the apologistic nature of his / her posts I find foul and abusive. To suggest also that the comments I made were right wing smacks of a political agenda to go along with probably the same agenda as Jane, being that you were so chivalrous in defending him / her and paving the way for him / her to return to the blog not long after your heroic attempt to justify the pro Ashley stuff.

I srongly advise you to carry a plant with you wherever you go to replace some of the oxygen you are wasting.

I’m thinking the poisoned dwarf has been brought back in for 2 reasons
1st to be on ashlies side v Jimenez, over dubai
He was a witness to what ashlie had said, expect him to lie in favour of his boss.

2 to get our backs up even more.KBA idea.

the 2nd is working big time.

can you imagine ashlie and the dwarf on a night out.
Lets throw up in a fire place, and we can kick the taxi driver in the head on our way home
    hashtag thingy lovely people 🙁

Geordiemark, sadly the geordies have been too supine in all this, damaged by their own love of the club. Eventually people like Bobby, whom I respect, will realise that the institution of the club is far more important than the 11 on the pitch, and that attacking the people who are denigrating and downgrading the club, to benefit their own ends, is more important that supporting the 11 shirts on the pitch. This has to sink home soon and a boycott in front of the cameras has to happen. You have to fight for your local club guys, and if relegation happens because of lack of support, so be it. There is a bigger picture than relegation.

point 1, that would work in the UK but it sure as hell wont in Saudi, I think Ashley forgets that the Saudi royal family and our royal family do major arms deals and get oil from Saudi, if Ashley thinks he will walk away from this then he best think again and don’t forget the Saudi have many politicians as well

I don’t think Ashley is about to walk away scot free on this one like he has with the rest of them

I donno I think like any other fans you can push them so far, one day they will snap, I also think a full boycott is the only way plus fans outside the ground the city be complete stop, go online to his shops fill your baskets, protest outside his shops with flags explaining why we want him out and what he got up to in Saudi may help
