There will not be too many Newcastle fans argue with St. James’ Park being ranked in the Premier league as the stadium with the best atmosphere during a game.
Now we need a team playing there that is one of the best teams in the Premier League and it’s been far too long since we had a team like that.
Sir Bobby Robson had us in 4th, 3rd and 5th position in the Premier League in his last three seasons as Newcastle manager- 2001-2002, 2002-2003 and 2003-2004.
And then he was fired in late August 2004.
The Premier League grounds have been ranked in order of best atmosphere.
11-20:
11. Goodison Park
12. Vicarage Road
13. Turf Moor
14. The Vitality
15. The Etihad
16. Old Trafford
17. Cardiff City Stadium
18. The Emirates
19. London Stadium
20. Tottenham Hotspur Stadium pic.twitter.com/yLWLhnTUOe— bet365 (@bet365) February 20, 2019

Comment #122By the way, I’m not saying we weren’t heading for financial disaster, but that was because of costly mistakes, we needed a few years of austerity, not eleven years of mind numbing mediocrity.

Comment #125No Jib, most definitely not, but we let as many go as we brought in, do you think Yedlin was on ,more than Jaanmat, or Clarke and Hanley on more than STaylor and Collo, behave will you.

Before you went away you mention kelland scored.
I left you a comment saying it was chalked off for an own goal, but shows he can attack a ball.
He scored a hatrick against blyth spartans in the northern senior cup.
Not bad having a cb scoring a hatrick. Toure scored a hattrick same game, to put things into perspective.

Comment #134He simply said: “You don’t win 13 trophies without attacking.”
Of course, he elaborated further and highlighted that he likes to attack where possible, but that short verdict from the boss says all that everyone needs to know.
Make no mistake, Benitez is far from a defensive coach. he’s just a manager that knows the limits of his team, and when the Magpies face an opponent that is stronger than them, the boss sets the team up correctly. For example, he may load up the defence to help prevent a marauding attack, with a focus on counter-attacking as a means of gaining some offensive ground. Alternatively, against a more defensive team, maybe the boss will focus a little bit more on controlling the ball.
