Fans Have Their Say On New Rondon Hope

With West Brom failing to get by Aston Villa in the Championship playoffs, the Newcastle fans have been given new hope that the club can capture their number nine.

Salomon Rondon – Renewed hope of keeping that smile on Tyneside

Salomon Rondon, who is so important to this Newcastle side, is now available from West Brom. He reportedly is available for £16.5M.

Here are some of the Newcastle fan’s reaction on Twitter:

Whether Mike Ashley is willing to pay that for a player who will turn 30 in September could be a major talking point with Rafa Benitez’s upcoming contract talks.

Other clubs may also be interested in Rondon as Wolves reportedly were in January. However, we would expect that Rondon would be keen to join the Magpies after the wonderful season he’s had.

This is a major development for Newcastle as there are now no excuses. Ashley needs to sign Rondon and show Rafa the faith he so rightfully deserves.

I would hope that we see a double signing next week, Rafa and Rondon, that would be a great pick me up.

(Non football), Jeremy Kyle show cancelled permanently.

One of the main issues knowing Newcastle would be making sure Gayle was sold before we got Rondon even then we would try and haggle away at the fee no doubt!

Problem is West Brom will be looking for a new manager now will they not? They might not want Gayle or at least West Brom might not want to commit to taking him until the new man is in?

Best to just buy Rondon outright with the release clause and deal with the Gayle situation later who knows Fulham might even pay 20 million for him!?

    Jeremy Kyle.
I know a few folks who will be devastated.
All it did was make entertainment out of people with issues.
Should have been banned years ago.

“I’ll sign when Rondon deal is done” as a suggested Rafa negotiation tactic sounds good, but I think he’s probably after more assurances than just the signing of a single player, good start though it might be.

Jeremy Kyle is a way more horrible individual than anyone that he ever had on his show. His ‘guests’ were generally the victims of misfortune one way or the other, he was a predator who feasted on their misfortune.

Wouldn’t p!ss on him if he was on fire and I hope he never works again.

Great news that West Brom failed to get promotion now there should be no excuses for the fat one. The deal should be simple enough, they want Gayle we want Rondon, maybe add a bit of cash due to Rondon being more prolific in the Premier League and everyone’s happy.

Really want Rafa signed along with Rondon ASAP.

I’m in two minds in regards to Ayoze though. He has great stamina, works his socks off, can score crucial goals for us and knows the english game well now. And what keep forgetting is how young he still is. Still only 25! Not near the finished article yet. If he can pick up from were he left it this season he will be immense.

The other side of mw thinks that if he really wants to leave then so be it, we want fully committed players here and he’s been a loyal servant. With the £25m or so we can get from him we could bring in a quality direct player with lightning pace, who is a very good dribbler. Someone like Gelson Martins for example, (though he is older) but you know what I mean.

Either way I think we’ll be alright if we spend the money wisely on a proper replacement.

More important for us the signings of Rafa and Rondon tbh. Ayoze is replaceable. Though I prefer he stays and he keeps improving and we still improve on the team and sign more quality players to build on what we have.

Wouldn’t it just be good to go into a season fully prepared for a change!?

Settled keeper , 343 formation , the 3 amigos up front , Longstaff 100% fit and some proper squad depth on the bench to rotate and change a game!?

    Betty,

I merely stated that I found it amusing that he was bragging that she had a block capital ‘NUFC’ tramp stamp to prove her love for the club.

Not slagging her off, just laughing at his shamelessness.

It’s been mentioned that Rondon isn’t a great striker but his all round ability and assets are invaluable to the team. I think that’s probably selling him short. In a better team he would be getting double what he does now, watch the opportunities he has had to score and he invariably takes them. Knows exactly when to be a selfish striker but also when to relent with a better assist. Free kicks, bullet headers, hold up, lay off he’s got just about everything only pity is he’s not two or three years younger. I think he’s worth an investment as there’s two or three years in him yet. Doesn’t have to be quick, just had to stay clever!

Someone mentioned offering Murphy, Gayle and Joselu in exchange. I personally think we can improve on that offer – leave out Joselu.

    😀

Buster……….. I think you were out of order and an apology should be forthcoming. To use the word tramp about someone’s wife can only suggest that she is homeless and sleeping rough which is obviously not true or that she is of easy virtue which is downright insulting.

Tsunki, agreed re Rondon. One other important point is that he’s a leader. Imagine having him around to work with the likes of Sorensen for the next 2-3 years. Invaluable experience and guidance for our young up-and-comers, one of whom could go on to be worth £40M. Speculate to accumulate, they say.

Lighten up kids – ‘Tramp Stamp’ is just a regular term for a tattoo on the lower back.

Nothing personal regarding her lifestyle. – Betty#29 – actually sleeping rough or of easy virtue! Really! ffs

Anyhoo, I see its gone too far and I apologise unreservedly for any offence taken.
