Newcastle want to sign Salomon Rondon of West Brom who had an excellent season on loan with us last season.
And the sooner Mike Ashley and company show some urgency in their talks with Rafa Benitez on his new contract – maybe we can sign Salomon for his release clause of £16.5M.
Both West Ham and Wolves will pay the release fee, but we think we may be first in line – if Ashley will only pay the price!
There’s a report in Corriere dello Sport that Newcastle are also interested in 22-year-old Club Brugge’s center-forward Wesley Moraes.
The news is that Moraes is interested in moving to a bigger club this summer and West Ham are also looking for a striker (as we know), and are also reported to be keen on the player.
The player is commonly known as Wesley, and was born in Juiz de Fora, Brazil and moved to Club Brugge back in January 2016.
Since then he has played 130 times for the Belgian club with 38 goals and 14 assists – that’s a good record.
Last season in the Juniper League Wesley played in 29 games and scored 10 goals and had 9 assists.
Rome club Lazio are another top club interested in the striker, who stands 6ft 3ins tall and is a powerful player.
The player’s agent is saying that two Premier League clubs – West Ham United and Newcastle – have been in contract for the player over the last few weeks.
It’s not clear if Wesley is a replacement for Rondon if we cannot get him – but this player seems to be an outstanding striker from what we can tell.
Sign him up!

Comment #3To answer your footy – related question on how would you see Rafa spending £50m, Harrogate, I think it would be best spent on Anti – Brexit campaigning and healthier veggie and fruit shakes #nufc

Comment #4Lesh………… It was obviously one of your mob from the Loony Left that threw the milkshake over Farage. I would suggest a jolly good bescundering for the lot of them but judging by the stench of them it’s already happened.

Comment #6Ashley sure is a strange so and so! He’s had the balls to hire Rafa on £6m per year, which is a great decision as we all know, yet he doesn’t recognise that a manager who can command such wages will be ambitious!
Ffs man hand the reins over to Rafa and he’ll make your asset worth double whatever it is now!
So, he thinks big in one respect but balls at proper investment. He might only get his team to 7th but what is it then worth?

Comment #7We might of been watching this guy over the last few months but there ,s no point in mentioning any potential signings until Benitez signs a new contract. He is the most important signing we will make this year.
