Club Give Update On Local Midfielder

Newcastle United have tweeted about local lad Sean Longstaff’s progress from his knee injury suffered this past March. He was injured in the away fixture at West Ham.

The club has just tweeted this about Sean’s recovery.

It looks like Sean is recovering well from his injury and is on track to be back on at least light training when the squad report in early July.

The initial estimate for his injury lay off was four months and that would be the first week of July. So it appears that the initial reports were correct and that Sean is progressing as expected.

Sean Longstaff– when he injured himself at West Ham

It would be a bonus if Sean can get into the first preseason match against Wolves in the Premier League Asia Trophy on July 17th.

A full preseason would be excellent for the youngster. And judging from his recent comments he appears to be raring to get back on the pitch for Newcastle.

A few days ago the club tweeted this snippet from his full interview on NUFC TV.

PL transfer window closes August 8, so 2 months from now. I also think Europe is extended past that for loans.

The frog wrongly equates not agreeing with everything he says as being pro-Ashley. Sometimes I think the frog is just looking for a fight.

Why would newcastle be in negotiations with players if (mike Ashley ) is definitely selling regardless of how long it takes ?

As they will not be required when the deal is finalised

If the sale was imminent why would the Group say all is good? Must mean that it will drag on longer than this week surely. If they announced nearly there I would be happier

    So Froggy:

    – a Sports Direct’s auditors being looked at by a Govt. watchdog has nothing to with NUFC

    – MASH Holdings, a separate company, owns NUFC

    – If you think there is any chance of Ashley going to prison you are in dreamland.

    – NUFC has the internal resources to easily pay off any back taxes and fines. If you think anyone will go to jail for that, even if there was fraud, you are in dreamland there as well.

    – Mike Ashley should concentrate on his knitting (SD) and sell NUFC.

    @47

‘If there is liability, either Ashley or the Sheikh will pay the back taxes and any fines’

You may be missing the point the frog’s making in that GT were forced to hand over documents to HMRC they argued contained information that privileged. Should those documents show that Ashley, whether directly or otherwise, instructed any tax avoidance or evasion, he could face criminal action and if found guilty, banned from ownership or influence in any businesses.

Jail: you know it is not happening. Even if there was cooking of the SD books and dodgy payments he can hide behind his auditors. They signed off on the accounts. This is not Enron. They paid his brother in law some backhanders – allegedly. Or that is what I think the Frog is saying because I haven’t looked that closely at it. There is no there there as far as jail for Ashley goes!

Colback also had abid rejected by newcastle as mikeashley is keen for newcastle to have players from the area in the squad
He is seen as a solid player who has much to offer the club
    Came from darlows mouth
    So our midfield pairing are
    Shelvey merino
    Hayden colback

mikeashleyisamackem has been posting bollorx for years, claimed to be a baggage handler at the airport and would report on sightings that never even had a medical, PEA must have just been shopping in the Metro centre that week. That snippet above was from Karl Darlow by all accounts?

Lesh: who was the last high profile businessman to do any jail time? Worst case is that Fatty comes to an agreement with any prosecutors and makes a donation to the Conservative National Office. Actually, that’s probably backwards – 1st would be the contribution and then any prosecution conveniently goes away.

    Tony Baloney,
Phillip Green might be going down, that Japanese Nissan dude, loads of the footers get bigger than their boots, I doubt Ashley will ever get done for anything but the politicians hate him and that’s dangerous if the wrong one(for him) gets in power.

Jail: I just don’t see that there is much to go after at NUFC except back taxes and there would be a settlement before a criminal case. I really hope that it is a non-issue and that Ashley is gone. I doubt the numbers are big enough to derail any buyout and BZG may just have to assume the risk of any future tax liability.

Toon22: is the “fit and proper” test ongoing? Or is it just before a takeover? It seems very difficult to get rid of even the most blatant fraudsters once they[re in. Have you seen the Oystens at Blackpool.

I know The Chronicle will say it is not called “fit and proper” anymore but everybody knows whet we mean.
