According to the Sun, Everton are eager to offload Croatian International Nikola Vlasic to CSKA Moscow unless Newcastle make an offer.
We have been linked with Vlasic since last summer before he went on loan to the Moscow club. After a tough first year adapting to the Premier League with Everton, Vlasic came alive was one of the elite players in Russia last term.
It was at first thought that the CSKA Moscow would have trouble with the reported £12M fee Vlasic would command. However, the Sun is reporting that they are currently in the process of putting together a bid for the attacking midfielder.
All transfer activity at Tyneside is seemingly on-hold as the Bin Zayed Group go through the process of finalizing their purchase of the club. This has caused some potential targets, such as Wesely Moraes to Aston Villa, to be plucked by other clubs.
Our hope is that behind the scenes the cogs are continuing to turn in regards to transfer activity. In an ideal world, Rafa will still have his targets identified and the process will be continuing albeit under the radar.
We really rate Nikola Vlasic and think he would be an outstanding addition to this Newcastle squad.
Regardless of whether this deal happens, let’s hope that once BZG and Rafa are done and dusted, a procession of 3-4 quality players soon follows.

Comment #8Jail: I predicted 350 for India which I think they would have got without the rain delay but that is splitting hairs. The main thing I thought was that India would win by more than 100 runs after they were put in.

Comment #11Sorry to go on about the cricket. It is just that I don’t really see the point of discussing transfer targets until we know who the owner and manager will be and what the budget will be.
