Sky Sports Reporter Gives Newcastle Fans Some Rare Positive News

Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol has tweeted out the following information which if true is excellent news for Newcastle fans.

This is very positive though Kaveh does state that Newcastle won’t confirm that talks took place. But we like the sound of “Newcastle categorically not interested in selling Longstaff”.

This is the exact stance that Newcastle should be taking on the young Geordie. Newcastle do not need to be a selling club anymore. The television revenue is more than enough to keep this club going while providing a healthy transfer budget year in and year out.

The problem is that Mike Ashley does not invest this money in the squad or facilities. This is why we are about to go from Rafa Benitez to Steve Bruce.

Sean Longstaff– needs to remain at the club

With Isaac Hayden likely to leave, allowing Longstaff to leave would further put the squad in peril. That is without even considering the emotional impact of allowing such a promising local lad to leave after only a stretch of games in a Newcastle shirt.

With the squad so drastically short in attacking areas as well as lacking quality at full-back, those will be the areas Newcastle will have to concentrate on this transfer window.

Depleting the midfield as well this close to the start of the season would be suicidal. Mike Ashley may not even be that reckless. Though we never thought he would let Rafa walk away either.

You might have given your alt ID away by spelling bollocks the way you do. There’s at least one other poster spells it as you do. How many alts have you got?

Your support has just reduced by one.

If it’s a politician or a celebrity the press are all over them like a rash. At their front doors, as they walk to work, helicopters above.
    No peace for the wicked.
If it’s Boris or Corbyn, Ant or wor Cheryl or Posh or Becks they sift through their trash and tap their phone calls. Ever Lineaker has had the treatment.
Funny that Ashley doesn’t get quite the same treatment .
    Wonder why.
Maybe the journalists have been scared off ?

It does sound like the attention we need – provided it’s done in a passive, non-threatening way. A silent, small in number US style poster supported walk up and down the pavement by his home would draw attention to the cause yes. But noisy, barracking crowds’d be counter productive. They’d be translated into menacing mobs by Bishop and his chums.

SJP or outside SD shops’d be better.

Tsunki, surely the worst nightmare of all, and one which looks more likely to continue, is Ashley owning the Toon?

Bruce’s appointment, or that of any other manager, is irrelevant to me while Ashley is still in the picture. It really matters not a jot who comes in as Ashley’s yes man.

Hopefully when Bruce goes over the contract he will think twice…
PAID only the hours you work ..saturday or sunday 2.30pm to 5.30pm
All annual leave must be taken during transfer windows (don’t worry lee will look after things)
No wages paid on weekends should you not be required ,if we do happen to somehow in error get to round 4 ,Neil and shola will look after that game.
Now once lee has found a biro that works sign here and Keith will give you the script.

And I always thought Sam’d jump at the chance of working for Ashley who sacked him to bring in Keegan thinking it’d make him, Ashley, popular with the fans.

Give Allardyce his due, he doesn’t need the crap or the grief.

Mike Ashley offered Sam Allardyce a surprise return as manager last week, but he rejected the opportunity. There was an issue over the club’s recruitment policy and a concern that Allardyce would have little if any say over signings. [Daily Mail]

MATT LAWTON FOR THE DAILY MAIL
Maybe if Brucie reads this he can learn from it.

Funny that Ashley was all for this as he wouldn’t have to pay compo but yet Bruce could cost well over £2m . Is that what they call a contradiction ?

Newcastle United offered Sam Allardyce a surprise return as manager last week, Sportsmail can reveal, but the former England boss has rejected the opportunity.
Owner Mike Ashley is understood to have identified the 64-year-old as a replacement for Rafa Benitez, not just because of his track record as a Premier League manager but because he would not cost any money in compensation.
Sources close to the club say Allardyce, who has been out of work since leaving Everton in May last year, was presented with an offer after talks between senior figures at St James’ Park and his representatives last weekend.

Peaceful but vocal protests outside Charnley’s house “would provoke media attention”. Yes that is the point you dummy! What about the West Ham supporters who threw objects at the directors box and made them retreat inside! That got media attention! It also made their owners change policy and they’re a couple of proper rogues! But the fans weren’t criticised by the press.
As far as I’m concerned Charnley’s complicit in Ashley’s policies and he’s actually affecting 10’s of thousands of people’s lives whilst just getting on with his and picking up 6 grand a week and, no doubt telling Mikey all is well on Tyneside.
    Time for action!
