Andy Carroll has posted the following message on his Twitter account after making his second debut for Newcastle on Saturday.
No Words To Explain That Feeling!! Reception Was Out Of This World!! You Never Fail To Amaze Me NUFC ? @ St James Park .. Toon Army https://t.co/BuUrd4mp9A
— Andy Carroll (@AndyTCarroll) September 21, 2019
It was a tremendous reception for Andy and we’re sure it meant the world to him to get it. Andy also spoke after the match and the club have posted the following clip on Twitter.
?? "The fans were fantastic, and they stuck by the team as well, which was great." @AndyTCarroll thanked the #NUFC fans for the superb ovation which greeted his second debut for the club this afternoon.

We were thrilled to see Andy back on the pitch battling in the black and white stripes of Newcastle United once again. It was one of the lone bright spots in a disappointing evening for Newcastle fans.
The club also posted the following footage of Andy leaving the pitch after his debut. It’s strange seeing him in that number 7 shirt but we suppose we’ll get used to it.
?? United had to settle for a point this evening, but how good was it to see the big man back in black and white again? #NUFC pic.twitter.com/fLq3RSREBO

Comment #2Leicester man utd Chelsea next 3 games this manager is Clueless players don’t want the ball think 9th Nov could be our next point when benitez was in charge even when we were bottom of league still had confidence he would get it sorted which he did but this guy is Clueless 6 games in and still doesn’t know his best team very very worrying
Think defence is ok apart from dummet great defender but the days a defender only has to defend are over need more
Midfield not a clue what’s happening there all look Clueless
Attack joelinton doesn’t look like he will score 10 goals a season and can’t see anyone else getting into double figures

Break in play at St James’; Hayden comes to the bench and says “it’s not working,” to Steve Bruce.

Comment #8Carroll might get 5 goals this season if he can stay fit,but of course that’s highly unlikely. If Gayle gets fit he might get the odd one, prolific in in the Championship but this is the Premier League.Almiron by the looks of it will get none because he’s MLS quality and Joelinton if we can find some way to support him might get 5-10.Just when you think it can’t get any worse we end up with this shower.Benitez for Bruce, you couldn’t make it up!Only a world class manager getting every ounce from them could make this work. The whole set up is indefensible and relegation beckons but as far as the parasite is concerned if we bluff our way through the season and somehow manage to stay up it’s job done.Sports Direct FC at its finest!

How ironic that an advert beamed regularly around the ground exclaims “SD Football” if that’s what he’s advertising then no wonder their share price is dropping.

Comment #10So the highlight of the day was hail the conquering hero Andy Carroll getting the local lad returns thing. But bottom line is we couldn’t even get a goal at home against Brighton. Pfft. Bruce is nailing this coaching Newcastle thing isn’t he? Long, long season ahead.

Comment #11Bruce, “we made changes at half time”
We ?
Really ?
Is it management by committee now ?
That signals to me that Bruce is not fully driving the show .
Ok it may be a turn of phrase but it’s hardly big man talk.
John Wayne never said we.

Sadly more because of Bruce and some inept tactics and performances rather than Ashley who’s just a nuisance

Comment #29The atmosphere appeared to go up a notch when ki and st maxim came on, and went up a notch again when Carroll came on.
I have to be honest, when Andy was standing on the touch line waiting to come on and you could hear the singing “he’s one of our own” – that was a pretty emotional scene, I had goosebumps 🙂
It must have been a very special moment for him

Comment #37Now that’s Norwich and Brighton who have played us off the park.
Aside from hoofing the ball, we seem to have completely no idea what to do with the ball. Can’t even string 3 passes together.
Quite simply at the current moment, we are the worst team in this division.
There’s absolutely no point in causing upset against the top teams when we are getting played off the park against the team around us from which we are actually suppose to be winning.
A long long season of relegation battle awaits. I think this is the season we will go down. Bruce looks clueless and so do the players.

Comment #38Sooner we get rid of shelvey the better. A Disgrace to the shirt. Has totally no clue on how to play the simple pass in midfield and make off the ball runs. Just sits deep and launches his Hollywood passes which schar does it better than him.

“There is no greater weapon than a prepared mind.” “The wise win before they fight, while the ignorant fight to win.” – Zhuge Liang.

Comment #40Well it’s certainly a case of the chickens finally coming home to roost. Finally. Its amazing it’s taken this long for the fanbase to fully recognise its being played for mugs. It had to take the unadulterated cynicism of failing to sign Rafa up again to leave few with any illisions whatsoever. We’re a big club with a sub par owner, sub par CEO, sub par manager and sub par coaching staff, and as a result a sub par playing group, training facility, scouting network, yada, yada, yada. We are back to Pardew, back to McClaren, and there is no jam tomorrow, period. Can’t win back fans without providing value for money on the ticket, and the will or capacity simply isn’t there to do it. It’s over Mike Ashley. Eff off.
