Newcastle were well beaten tonight and it could have been a lot worse than 2-0, but for some great goalkeeping by Rob Elliot who made four great saves in the first half to keep Newcastle in the game – but Bordeaux were much better than Newcastle tonight and won easily, and we hardly ever threatened.
