We are keeping a check on what’s happening in the Championship for a couple of reasons, one is to see whether Derby County will get promoted, and also to see how two of our players, goalkeeper Karl Darlow and center-back Jamaal Lascelles  are doing for Nottingham Forest,  as the team have been winning games since Scot Dougie Freedman replaced Stuart Pearce as manager in early February.

An England Stroll With A First Harry Kane Goal

England cantered to a 4-0 win at Wembley against Lithuania tonight  in their 5th group game in qualifying for Euro 2016,  and there were first goals for their country from both Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane, who made his debut for England in the second half.

Newcastle Can Now Compete With The Top Clubs

With the results of the profits for the Premier League the last financial year announced by Deloitte yesterday – it does seem like Premier League clubs are knuckling down and trying to at least break even financially – which is why the Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules put in place some years ago by UEFA President Michel Platini – to do exactly that.

PL Clubs Make £190M – Newcastle Could Be Most Profitable

Deloitte reported yesterday that the 20 Premier League clubs made a combined pre-tax profit of £190M in the last financial year, which was from  July 1st,  2013 through June 30th, 2014.

Another Newcastle Defender Out For The Season
