Why Players Fully Accept Rafa’s Way Of Doing This

Monday, September 26th, 2016 · 2 Comments

Ciaran Clark had his best game for Newcastle at his old club Aston Villa on Saturday and the Villa fans will have seen how improved Ciaran has already become under Rafa Benitez.

But that’s why players want to join Rafa Benitez – they want to improve their game and work for a successful side that can win things.

Hopefully that will be the case with Rafa Benitez at Newcastle – if it isn’t  it will certainly not be for the want of trying.

Rafa Discusses DeAndre Yedlin’s Ankle Injury

Sunday, September 25th, 2016 · 29 Comments

We probably could have guessed that Newcastle will assess the extent of DeAndre Yedlin’s ankle injury on Monday and see how bad the damage is and whether there is any chance of the 23 year-old American playing against Norwich on Wednesday night.

Yedlin was our Man of the Match on Saturday with around 50% of the vote and he had an impressive game especially attacking down the right wing and his cross in the first half was turned into his own goal by Tommy Elphick.

Newcastle Could Sign Talented Ireland International In January

Sunday, September 25th, 2016 · 5 Comments

Newcastle are said to be in the running to sign Everton midfielder James McCarthy in the January transfer window, since James has struggled to get game time under new Dutch manager Ronald Koeman on Merseyside.

It’s strange but managers prefer certain kinds of players and it seems that Koeman doesn’t rate the Glasgow-born 39 times capped Ireland International.

His home town club Celtic are also said to be in the running for James, who started his career at Hamilton Academicals after trying out and being turned down by Celtic as a youngster.

This Newcastle Player Shows Class And Guts With One Tweet

Sunday, September 25th, 2016 · 100 Comments

After the game there were a lot of nasty things said about goalkeeper Matz Sels who was a little bit hesitant in coming out for the corner from which Aston Villa equalized but not much about the good save he made to keep us in the game during stoppage time.

Newcastle fans support their players through thick and thin which is what Rafa Benitez keeps asking for.

Our Man Of The Match – A Tremendous New Signing

Sunday, September 25th, 2016 · 3 Comments

DeAndre Yedlin is already a fan favorite because of the things he said about Newcastle when he first joined us last month – and how he found out how big a club Newcastle was while he was playing on loan at Sunderland.

Like the sound of that one.

Rafa seems to like the lad and he certainly is a hard worker both in games and on the training field and yesterday was already his 5th appearance for Newcastle as he started for the second game running in place of the suspended Vurnon Anita.

DeAndre had a great game until he had to leave the field after 75 minutes with an ankle injury – and we’re not sure how bad that is and whether he will be available for the colossal game against Norwich City on Wednesday night.
