Injury Update – Initial Comments From Benitez Press Conference

Friday, April 29th, 2016 · 24 Comments

Rafa Benitez has given his press conference at 12:45 pm today for the vital game at home to Crystal Palace tomorrow, the result of which could decide if Newcastle have any chance of avoiding relegation this season.

Rafa said as expected that both Coloccini and Janmaat are not available for the game tomorrow but that Kevin Mbabu and Steven Taylor are available – and we expect Mbabu to again be on the bench tomorrow.

Top Player To Miss Newcastle Game

Friday, April 29th, 2016 · 7 Comments

As expected the English Football Association have given Tottenham’s Dele Alli a three-match suspension for the punch he threw into Claudio Yacob’s stomach in the first half of the club’s 1-1 draw at home to West Brom on Monday night.

With three games left of the season that means he will miss what could be a vital game for Newcastle United on May 15th when we meet Spurs in the final game of the season at home.

The draw against West Brom also leaves Tottenham 7 points behind Leicester City with just three games to go.

That’s A Big Bear We’ve Got To Fight In That Pit!

Friday, April 29th, 2016 · 67 Comments

Alan Pardew will know all about the atmosphere at St. James Park when the stadium is chock full of over 52,000 mad screaming Geordies and when he comes back to Toon tomorrow we expect Palace to be a hard side to beat.

But it is also a game we should be winning given our improved form over the last three games,  following our pathetic capitulation at St, Mary´s Stadium almost three weeks ago.

Pardew Had A Mediocre Record at Newcastle

Friday, April 29th, 2016 · 9 Comments

Alan Pardew will return to Newcastle for the first time since he left suddenly in late 2014 after he had a tough year at Newcastle, but he had revived the team to 9th place in the league with 26 points from 19 games before he left.

But since he left Tyneside in the 54 league games played,m Newcastle have only 10 wins and 31 defeats and we have been struggling with relegation.

Alan will get a mixed reception on Tyneside in a game that we simply must win if we are to have any chance of avoiding relegation this season.

Newcastle Linked With Summer Move For England Defender

Friday, April 29th, 2016 · 4 Comments

Newcastle were said to be keen to try to get 26 year-old Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs in January, but as it turns out we were not successful in boosting the defense at all in the last transfer window.

But there is news coming out of London that Newcastle will make a move in the summer for the 10 times capped England International full-back, if we can avoid the drop under Rafa Benitez.

The news is an exclusive from Football Insider, but it was probably a decent guess we would go after the full-back if the news in January that we were interested was indeed true.
