Keeping A Clean Sheet Will Be Massive

Wednesday, April 10th, 2013 · 10 Comments

Tomorrow night will be the biggest European night for Newcastle since we were last in the quarter finals of the Europa League, back on April 7th, 2005 when Graeme Souness was manager and we beat Sporting Lisbon 1-0 at home, with a goal from – who else – Alan Shearer – but we lost the away leg 4-1 after we went ahead 1-0 in that game through Kieron Dyer.

Can Newcastle Reach The Europa League Semi-Finals?

Tuesday, April 9th, 2013 · 107 Comments

We’re running a poll to see how Newcastle fans thinks we’ll fare on Thursday night in the second leg of our quarter final tie with Benfica, after we lost the first leg 3-1 in Lisbon.

Newcastle can go through if we win 2-0 or 4-1, and a 3-1 final result after 90 minutes will take us into extra time on Thursday – although that will be difficult for our lads – given we’ll still  have to hammer Sunderland on Sunday.

It’s a straight vote – yes or no.
