Owen – I Wasn’t The Same Player Newcastle Signed

We had reported last night how Newcastle’s acquisition of Michael Owen from Real Madrid in August of 2005, when Graeme Souness was the manager turned out to be a bit of a disaster for the club, and Michael played only 79 times for Newcastle over that four year period with 30 goals, and it’s one of the worst deals ever made in the Premier League.

Sunderland Situation Similar To Before April Game

It’s a little strange that Sunderland’s situation at the moment is very like what it was back on April 14th, when they surprisingly beat an inept Newcastle side 3-0 at St. James’ Park for one of their biggest wins ever over Newcastle away from home.
