Newcastle Look To Have More Loan Deals Next Season

Saturday, May 31st, 2014 · 87 Comments

It’s very difficult for Newcastle’s younger players to improve their game by only playing in the Newcastle U21 (Reserve) side, and that has become obvious over the last season, where a few of Newcastle’s youngsters did well out on loan to other clubs.

This Is Why Newcastle’s Transfer Policy So Difficult To Execute

Saturday, May 31st, 2014 · 10 Comments

In short the away Newcastle (make that Mike Ashley) want to do their transfer business is to pay the least amount possible for their targets, and that has seen us get into too many transfer sags for our targets over the last few years, and on the other side of things we want top dollar for any player we sell.

As we’ve said before James Tavernier will have a very good career in football ahead of him, and over the last three years he’s spent a lot of time on loan at other clubs gaining first team experience, and they have included clubs like Gateshead, Carlisle United, Sheffield Wednesday, Milton Keynes Dons, Shrewsbury Town and this year he’s played very well at Rotherham, and helped them get promoted to the Championship, in their second successive promotion under manager Steve Evans.

News On Clement Grenier Not Good For Newcastle

Saturday, May 31st, 2014 · 5 Comments

As we saw yesterday with Remy Cabella, it’s always very difficult in these transfer windows to know which reports are accurate and which reports are not – and in one day there were reports that the £6.5M bid for the Montpellier winger from Newcastle had been accepted,  and then news that it had been turned down, and in fact Montpellier wanted twice that amount for their star winger.

There’s a decent chance that Italian Cagliari could let go of their 24-year-old striker/winger Victor Ibarbo, and the news is that Newcastle manager Alan Pardew has been alerted to that possibility, with the fee being around £8M.
