The best two players for Newcastle yesterday were Daryl Janmaat at right back and midfield dynamo Jack Colback, who had another good game for Newcastle, and the local lad hardly ever puts a foot wrong in the way he passes that ball around.

Newcastle Star Too Tense – He Will Play A Lot Better

Newcastle have not made a particularly good start in terms of results at least, although the performances haven’t been too bad and the team obviously has to be given a little time to gel – but we really should have won yesterday and we had three decent chances – which fell to Gouffran, Cabella and de Jong – but the lads couldn’t score.
