Newcastle Could Lose Captain Next Summer

When Coloccini injured his back in the home game against Southampton last season, he was out for around eight weeks, and Newcastle missed Colo’s calm demeanor in the center of the defense, and we didn’t well at all.

Englishman Pushing For Place In Newcastle’s Starting Line-Up

We said after the Capital One Cup win on Wednesday night, that we thought Mike Williamson would keep his place at the back on Monday night at Everton, because of a couple of things – at 6’4″ he adds height and heading ability to the back four, and he has ample experience of playing the Premier League.

Pardew – This Player Did Exactly What I Wanted Against Leeds

Saturday, September 28th, 2013 · 6 Comments

We thought that Papiss Cisse would get a start last Wednesday night, because our joint top goalscorer last season hadn’t scored a goal in 10 games for the Magpies, and all strikers need to score goals to keep their confidence up.

Alan Pardew was simply delighted with the two local lads – Paul Dummett and Sammy Ameobi – on Wednesday night, and both had good games once again when given a chance in the first team, and they will be pushing for a start at Goodison Park on Monday night.

Pardew Identifies Everton’s Danger Man For Monday Night

Leighton Baines scored a fantastic goal against us last season in our first games of this year,  in Everton’s 2-1 win at St. James’ Park,  and that followed two Newcastle losses at Old Trafford and the Emirates, when we lost 4-3 and 7-3 respectively, and it was three league defeats on the trot and we conceded 13 goals at the turn of the year. :(
