Newcastle United Academy graduate Adam Campbell made his premier league debut yesterday in front of over 50,000 Newcastle fans, and the lad got a warm welcome from the Geordie crowd, and Adam had a hand in the dramatic winner that Papiss Cisse slotted home after 92 minutes.

Pardew Ecstatic For Newcastle Fans

Alan Pardew has been interviewed in the local press today, and he is obviously delighted we were able to get all 3 points against what looked like a very solid Stoke side, but  that’s Stoke’s 7th loss in the last nine Premier League games.

Anzhi Lose 2-0 To Bottom Club Mordovia Yesterday

Anzhi Makhachkala’s first match in the Russian Premier League in over three months ended up with the Russian side, Newcastle’s opponents on Thursday night at St. James’ Park, losing to bottom club Mordovia Soransk by 2-0. Mordovia are rock bottom with only 12 points from their 20 games played – so it was a really shock defeat for Anzhi.

Pardew – It Was A Tough Game – Three Points Are Enormous

In one of Alan Pardew’s interviews after the game yesterday he said Newcastle had to sharpen up in the second half, although our free kicks and corners were again not too good, and far too many times the Stoke goalkeeper Begovic picked the ball out of the air, as too many crosses were too close to the 6’5″ Bosnia and Herzegovina goalkeeper.

It was a late goal from Papiss Cisse that gave Newcastle a deserved win yesterday,  against a very decent looking Stoke City side, but he was set up brilliantly by Sylvain Marveaux, who is now pushing for a starting place at Newcastle.
