Newcastle Unaffected By Ben Afra Problems – He’s Not Our Player

We got it wrong yesterday when we said that Newcastle would have to pay Ben Arfa’s wages through June 30th, because on 4th January Newcastle ended Ben Arfa’s contract by mutual agreement.

Head Coach Pursuit Stalls – Newcastle Off To Dubai

Caretaker manager John Carver will take the first team squad to Dubai in the Middle East next week – after the Southampton game on Saturday – for a warm-weather training camp – that was arranged by former manager Alan Pardew before he left the club for Crystal Palace.

Newcastle’s Argentine Transfer Target Made Available

Newcastle and Tottenham have been linked with Palermo’s Argentine center-back Ezequiel Munoz, whose contract runs out in June, and it seems that the 24 year-old will not sign a new contract with his club, and will therefore be available as a free transfer in the summer.

Southampton’s Top Three Players Injured – Miss Newcastle Game

We watched Southampton’s 1-0 win at Ipswich Town in the FA Cup third round replay last night, with the winning goal coming from Shane Long, and Victor Wanyama  had to leave the game late in the first half with a hamstring problem, and he will certainly not play at St. James’ Park on Saturday.
