This 23 Year-Old Should Be Newcastle’s Top Defender Target

Newcastle were heavily linked in the summer with a move for 23 year-old Celtic center-back Virgil van Dijk,  and with a week to go before the end of the window the Scotsman reported that the Tyneside club were considering a deadline day swoop for the Dutchman.

Could This Unlikely Alliance Work At Newcastle?

There were reports out of Italy last week that Rafa Benitez could be interested in the new head coach position at Newcastle,  since his two year contract at Naples is up in the summer, and we would think with the new Premier League TV deal being announced last week – with a massive 70% for the PL rights – top players and coaches will be eyeing England as a possible new location.
