Ranking The Potential New Managers At Newcastle

Saturday, May 3rd, 2014 · 21 Comments

We saw an article out today suggesting that former Newcastle player, coach and local lad Lee Clark could be the next Newcastle manager,  but with Birmingham having done really poorly this season, and currently they are third bottom of the Championship one point from safety and one game to play at Bolton today, we don’t think Lee will get the job, and in fact Lee could be in  line to be fired at the end of the season.

Press All Over The Planned Walk-Out Even Before The Game

Saturday, May 3rd, 2014 · 26 Comments

There are reports about today’s game that Cardiff City must win it to have any chance of staying up – but that’s not technically true, with Fulham one point ahead of them and Sunderland and Norwich two points ahead – but if all four sides lose, Cardiff could still avoid relegation by beating Chelsea at home – although of course that could be very difficult.

Pardew Has Received No Assurances From Ashley

Friday, May 2nd, 2014 · 68 Comments

One of the things that Alan Pardew revealed in his interviews today to the local press, is that he hasn’t spoken to Mike Ashley, the Newcastle owner, for over three weeks, and while that’s not surprising, it does suggest that the manager has no idea what Mike Ashley is thinking about this current bad spell.

Pardew Makes Personal Plea – Please Support Our Players

Friday, May 2nd, 2014 · 15 Comments

The Newcastle manager Alan Pardew has again called on the fans who will be at the game tomorrow, not to walk out on the team after 69 minutes – as a demonstration against where the club is headed  (nowhere) – as some fan organizations are asking for, and instead the beleaguered manager is asking the fans to stay and support the team and especially the players – hopefully to our first win in seven games.

We were linked with 19 year-old Derby County and England U21 central midfielder Will Hughes last year, and we wonder if this lad in on Newcastle’s target list for this summer?

But we will continue the series from last year, when we profiled players who would seem to be excellent acquisitions for Newcastle United this summer.
