Time For Pardew To Be (Very) Bold In His Team Selection

It looks like Papiss Cisse will be fit to play on Monday night at the Britannia Stadium, and it’s going to be interesting to see what Alan Pardew’s team selection is for the game, because Newcastle really need a win if the manager is to improve his chances of keeping his job on Tyneside.

Pardew’s Subtle Response To Mike Ashley Outburst

Mike Ashley’s comments of Thursday night – if taken seriously – could mean that Alan Pardew will be fired if Newcastle lose at Stoke on Monday night, but Alan Pardew has brushed those comments off and said he talked to the Newcastle owner earlier this week,  and he’s well aware that Ashley wants wins very soon – and the goal on Monday night is to win at Stoke.

It is looking like Tim Krul, Yoan Gouffran and Papiss Cisse, who all missed the game on Wednesday night in London because of a virus, will be fit enough to play at Stoke City on Monday night.

The Character Is There – We Want To Win Every Game

We thought most players on Wednesday night had very good games with Coloccini playing very solidly at the back and pushing forward whenever he could, and when the team came under pressure in extra time Colo seemed to help calm things down.
