In what was one of Newcastle’s best results for a long long time – and not a bad performance either – Newcastle shocked the mega-rich Manchester City side with an inexperienced team made up of a mixture of experienced and younger (local) players – but our lads’ sheer will to win was there for all to see tonight – and their desire was the main reason Newcastle won the game tonight – against all the odds.

Alan Pardew has just announced the side to play Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium tonight and Rolando Aarons and Adam Armstrong both start the game and there are seven changes from the side that started against Spurs on Sunday. 🙁

The good news is that Ryan Taylor is also back, and makes his first start for Newcastle for 26 months – a huge achievement for the 30 year-old Liverpudlian – and we’re sure the 3000 Geordie fans there tonight will give him an ovation.
