Newcastle Defense Vulnerable In 3-3 Draw – Match Report

Saturday, August 30th, 2014 · 69 Comments

Newcastle looked vulnerable at the back against Crystal Palace today, and we went behind twice with goals conceded early in each half, and while we came back to equalize twice and went ahead with two minutes to go, mainly sur to the brilliance of Rolando Aarons,  we still couldn’t hold onto the lead in the 7 minutes of added time, and conceded a goal after 95 minutes to get a 3-3 draw and that was a disappointing result and the overall performance wasn’t much better.

Newcastle got off to the worst possible start against Crystal Palace today when we conceded a goal after only 30 seconds, and it was a poor goal to concede, and again pointed to the frailty of the Newcastle defense. We equalized through Janmaat  after 38 minutes to go in 1-1 at the break, but went behind again three minutes into the second half when Puncheon fired home.

Pardew – All We Need Now Are Some Goals

Saturday, August 30th, 2014 · 195 Comments

Newcastle have played quite well in the first three games of the season, and in each game we have shown decent control of those games, especially in the second half, but we just haven’t scored enough goals and have one win, one defeat and one draw so far this season.
