Newcastle May Go After Former Striker – And It´s Not Carroll

Wednesday, November 25th, 2015 · 3 Comments

There are some reports coming out of Seattle over here in the US that Newcastle are interested in signing their former  striker Oba Martins on a short-term loan deal and the 31 year-old has rekindled his career in America since he signed on for the Seattle Sounders three years ago.

In that time he has scored 43 goals in 83 appearances for the Sounders and he has even been recalled to the Nigerian squad.

This Is A Shock Move By Steve McClaren – If True

Tuesday, November 24th, 2015 · 30 Comments

There is a report tonight that Newcastle head coach Steve McClaren is ready to recall Adam Armstrong from his loan spell at Coventry and use him in the Newcastle first team in the hope presumably that he can score some goals for us.

But if it’s true that almost sounds like a panic move by McClaren and we be very surprised if this story has much truth to it.

Report Out Of Italy Cannot Possibly Be True

Tuesday, November 24th, 2015 · 37 Comments

A day or so ago there was a report in Calciomercato that Newcastle were in secret talks with 39 year-old Clarence Seedorf, the former Milan and Netherlands midfielder to take over the head coach position at Newcastle from Steve McClaren.

This story has been reported in various outlets now and we cannot believe for one minute there’s any truth in the report.

Players Angry After Game – When It Counts For Nothing

Tuesday, November 24th, 2015 · 91 Comments

Moussa Sissoko has been interviewed by nufcTV and he has spoken of his anger  and the players’ anger after the game when we were basically taken apart by Leicester –  a side that was on 19 points and bottom of the league in early April.

Our question we would have is why were the players not angry during the game when something could have been done about the woeful and inept performance that was simply unacceptable and not good enough.

This Targeted Striker May Not Be Suitable Signing In January

Tuesday, November 24th, 2015 · 8 Comments

Newcastle were linked with Marseille striker Michy Batshuayi back in the summer of 2013 when then Director of Football Joe Kinnear was supposed to be looking at him as a potential buy for Newcastle.

There were reports while he was still at Standard Liege as a 19 year-old in that summer that he would cost Newcastle £3M – but we didn’t sign him, but that hasn’t stopped the club remaining interested in the player.
