Good News – Saints Provide A Great Blueprint For Newcastle

Sunday, January 18th, 2015 · 42 Comments

It would be stretching it to say that Mike Ashley’s running of the Newcastle club has been incompetent, but on the other hand it’s hard to say that Newcastle is being run well at the moment, and for whatever reason the club seems to lurch from crisis to crisis.

Newcastle’s Poor Run Could Bring Some Very Good News

Sunday, January 18th, 2015 · 16 Comments

Maybe one of the good things that will come out our poor league form of late – for the second time this season we’ve picked up only 4 points in our last seven games – is that Mike Ashley will be less inclined to sell either Papiss Cisse or Moussa Sissoko this month – because we are not yet safe from relegation, and could still be sucked into a fight for survival.

Our Man Of The Match Is A Big Surprise

Sunday, January 18th, 2015 · 14 Comments

One of the few positive things to come out of yesterday’s 2-1 defeat against a weakened Southampton side was the form of left Back Massadio Haidara, who come into the side  at left back, when Paul Dummett moved to the center of defense and Mike Williamson was benched.

It’s A Fact You Have To Win Football Matches To Get The Job

Saturday, January 17th, 2015 · 66 Comments

One rather blunt, but easy and accurate way to sum up today’s game and result at St. James’ Park is that Southampton were the better side and deserved the three points – even though their three best players were all out injured, and this was their third game in six days.

Alarm Bells Should Be Going Off – Leadership Needed

Saturday, January 17th, 2015 · 102 Comments

While we don’t want to over-react to the poor display and poor result today against Southampton at home, we are on a very poor run and  that is our seventh defeat in the last nine games and we have conceded 22 goals in the process.

We’ve taken only 4 points from the last 21 points available, and we have no head coach, and we’re in the bottom half of the table 4 points above Crystal Palace but with a worse goal difference. :(
