The Impressive Darlow Praises Newcastle’s Biggest Advantage

Friday, June 17th, 2016 · 3 Comments

Last season  the support the players got from the Geordie fans was simply unbelievable, given it was a relegation season and we were basically in the bottom four all season long.

Karl Darlow had his debut season last term and he did very well indeed and looks a very good goalkeeper in the making.

Karl and Jamaal Lascelles turned out to be two good buys from Nottingham Forest and for £7M between them – it looks like a bargain for Newcastle.

Not only are Karl and Jamaal two good young players, but their temperaments and character are also excellent.

Spanish International Praises The Great Rafa Benitez

Friday, June 17th, 2016 · 9 Comments

24 year-old Lucas Vazquez had a bit of a breakthrough season last term and he can thank Rafa Benitez for that.

When Rafa arrived at the club last summer he put Lucas into the first team squad after he had spent a season on loan at Espanyol in Barcelona.

Lucas played 33 games last season for Real Madrid in all competitions and scored 4 goals and has 10 assists.

Newcastle Goalkeeper – Players Were Desperate For Rafa To Stay

Friday, June 17th, 2016 · 3 Comments

Newcastle goalkeeper Karl Darlow had a good first season at Newcastle after a shaky start at West Brom.

That was after Rob Elliot had taken sick during the warm-up, but Karl came in and played the final eight games of the season when Rob was injured – and he played very well in the Newcastle goal under new manager Rafa Benitez.

Karl has been interviewed on the Newcastle web-site today and he talks about how much the players wanted Rafa Benitez to stay at the club, after he had turned things around in those final six games of the season, although we were still relegated.

Little Progress On Wijnaldum Move To Roma

Friday, June 17th, 2016 · 20 Comments

Roma have been linked with Newcastle’s Gini Wijnaldum for some time now, although their preference to replace recently sold Miralem Pjanic to Juventus is Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic.

They wanted to take Mateo on loan in a bid to reduce their exposure on a player who has not done well in Madrid, after being signed last summer while Rafa Benitez was the Real manager.

McClaren – Business Side Of Newcastle Second To None

Friday, June 17th, 2016 · 8 Comments

The 55-year-old former Newcastle manager Steve McClaren is trying to come in from the cold again after his disastrous eight months in charge of the Magpies, when basically he was the primary person responsible for our relegation taking only 24 points from 28 games in charge and he was left in the job far too long by Lee Charnley.

By getting Rafa Benitez to commit to Newcastle for the next three years, things are not all gloom and doom on Tyneside and in fact fans are upbeat that Benitez can build a good side, but it all has to start in England’ s second division.

That’s the way it is.
