Newcastle Reported To Be Interested In Italian International

Tuesday, November 17th, 2015 · 54 Comments

France Football is reporting today that Newcastle United are interested in 6’4″ PSG goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu, who is 28 years old.

It looks like Sirigu will not get many games this season, after being the number one goalkeeper at the Paris club for the last four seasons, but German U21 International goalkeeper Kevin Trapp arrived in the summer from Eintracht Frankfurt and has played in all but one game this season.

This Emerging Star Ready For Another Chance

Tuesday, November 17th, 2015 · 60 Comments

Newcastle United 20 year-old prospect Kevin Mbabu has played for all the Swiss Youth sides through U19 level and was outstanding when he played against Chelsea and also in the first half at Manchester City when he helped set up the go-ahead goal by Aleksandar Mitrovic in the first half – before the team collapsed completely in the second half.

Kevin picked up a hamstring injury, but he’s fit again and was on the bench at Bournemouth and came on late in the game for his fourth first-team appearance of the season.

This Is Still Newcastle’s Biggest Problem

Tuesday, November 17th, 2015 · 36 Comments

For maybe the first time this season we got more out of a game than we deserved last time out at Bournemouth.

We didn’t play well at all apart from goalkeeper Rob Elliot and a few others such as captain Fabricio Coloccini, Chancel Mbemba and Ayoze Perez, but after taking a hammering throughout the game we came out of it 1-0 winners.

Newcastle Close To Making Top Appointment In May

Tuesday, November 17th, 2015 · 7 Comments

It’s looking like Newcastle made an approach to former Real Sociedad, Manchester United and Everton manager David Moyes in May, but it looks like he turned down Newcastle’s offer.

At that time he was loyal to Real Sociedad where he just been appointed the previous November, but after a poor start to this season he was sacked by the Spanish club earlier this month.

This Could Be Massive Boost For Newcastle’s Game On Saturday

Tuesday, November 17th, 2015 · 9 Comments

We had an article out a couple of days go suggesting (hoping would be a better word) that Leicester Cit’s top striker Jamie Vardy would not be available for the game on Saturday after he injured his hip in the last game against Watford and missed England’s game in Spain on Friday night.

Vardy is easily at the top of the Premier league scoring charts this season with 12 goals from 12 games and there’s news today from the England camp that he will not make the game tonight at Wembley against France.

L’Equipe Get It Completely Wrong On Sissoko

Tuesday, November 17th, 2015 · 19 Comments

French newspaper L’Equipe have an article out today on Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko on the day that France will play England tonight at Wembley following the terrible terror attacks in Paris on Friday night that killed 129 people.

The article seems a bit off track because one thing they say is his manager at Newcastle is Alex McLeish the former Rangers, Birmingham and Aston Villa manager who left Genk in the summer after one year in charge.
