Mick McCarthy – We Were Beaten By The Champions Today

Saturday, October 22nd, 2016 · 3 Comments

Ipswich Town manager Mick McCarthy was full of praise for a dominant Newcastle display this afternoon in front of just short of 52,00 fans at St. James’ Park and Mick said they were beaten by the Champions today.

Newcastle went ahead in the first minute through Ayoze Perez, who is being compared on Twitter to Brazil’s Pele by Newcastle fans after the game – after a sparkling display from the Spaniard today.

It was a long afternoon for Mick McCarthy and his Ipswich side but as usual Mick was brutally honest in his comments after the game.

Saturday, October 22nd, 2016 · 1 Comment

Newcastle have gone 3 points clear at the top of the Championship after our good 3-0 win against Ipswich Town this afternoon.

That was our 12th win in the last 14 games in all competitions and it was our 5th league win on the trot.

The Magpies managed to score 3 goals against a side that had only conceded 9 goals in their previous 13 league games and now Ipswich have conceded one more than Newcastle.

Brighton now have the best defensive record in the league conceding only 9 goals after their 1-0 win at Wigan today that takes them into second place.

Newcastle cruised to another easy win this afternoon against Ipswich Town at St. James ‘ Park in front of a massive crowd of 51,963.
