Newcastle Better Than At Saints – But Still Not Good Enough

Sunday, April 6th, 2014 · 117 Comments

There wasn’t much that Alan Pardew could say after Newcastle were beaten 4-0 by Manchester United at home yesterday,  and in our last two home matches we have leaked seven goals, and to think the coaching staff worked on the Newcastle defense all last week. :(

Why Alan Pardew Is Now In Serious Trouble At Newcastle

Sunday, April 6th, 2014 · 14 Comments

This season was always going to be the season that Alan Pardew proved he was the right man for the job at Newcastle, after last season we struggled mightily against relegation, and it was probably the five Frenchmen we brought fifteen months ago that saved us from relegation.

Ben Arfa Career Looks Over At Newcastle

Sunday, April 6th, 2014 · 24 Comments

Hatem Ben Arfa was dragged off last week at half time, along with Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, after Newcastle had been decidedly second best in that first 45 minutes at Southampton, and although we were only 1-0 down, the Saints had missed their chances, and it seemed that Alan Pardew was less than impressed with Ben Arfa’s work-rate, and his willingness to track back and help out the Newcastle defense.

It Was Tight Until They Got Their First Goal

Dan Gosling got a start for Newcastle yesterday, and it was the first time he had started in the league since playing at Norwich back in December of 2011, and Dan had a decent enough game yesterday, and worked hard throughout, but Newcastle, for the second time running, came out on the wrong side of a 4-0 scoreline. :(

Where Exactly Do Newcastle Go From Here?

Sunday, April 6th, 2014 · 70 Comments

Newcastle were torn apart by Manchester United today, but at least our players put in some effort and energy at St. James’ Park, which was different form last Saturday,  but we were no match for Manchester United and they won 4-0 with four good goals from their point of view.

Newcastle Need Four New Strikers Brought In This Summer

Saturday, April 5th, 2014 · 279 Comments

Alan Pardew was interviewed by Sky Sports after the game today and Alan said the obvious – that scoring goals is difficult for us at the moment, and we’ve scored just one goals since we hammered Hull City 4-1 – and of course Loic Remy has been out injured, and Luuk de Jong and Papiss Cisse just cannot seem to get the job done for Newcastle.
