Newcastle Disastrous Season Ends In Relegation

As it turns out we needed just one point from our last two games to secure survival, but such was the incompetence of this Newcastle team, that they couldn’t even score a goal and were beaten by Fulham 1-0, at home mind you, and  in front of a sell-out 52,000 fans – and today – as we had half expected – we were beaten by an out of form Aston Villa side.

David Edgar Likely To Start For Newcastle Today

A couple of years ago David Edgar looked a bright prospect indeed for Newcastle, and we all remember the fantastic goal he scored ta St. James’ Park against Manchester United on January 1st, 2007, when it took him all of 15 minutes to get the smile off his face after he had brilliantly beaten top goalkeeper, Edwin van der Saar, from outside the penalty box. :D

Roeder – Shearer Continued To Play Aston Villa Game On One Leg
