Yohan Cabaye captained Newcastle United for the first time yesterday in South Wales, and if Fabricio Coloccini leaves the club in the summer to return to his family in Argentina,  then it’s odds on that the French International will become the next captain of Newcastle.

Davide Santon Place Under Pressure At Newcastle

Alan Pardew was left a frustrated manager at the end of the game at the Liberty Stadium yesterday,  when his side should have taken at least a point out of the game they had dominated in the second half, but the failure to take their chances cost them when mistakes by both Davide Santon and Yanga-Mbiwa led to Swansea’s only goal by substitution Luke Moore.

It Just Didn’t Happen For Us Today – Pardew Interview

Newcastle did almost everything right but win the game at Swansea in the second half, but the truth is we missed too many chances, but Yohan Cabaye hit the cross-bar and Michel Vorm made some excellent saves for the home side.

Pardew – We Are Frustrated And Disappointed

It was yet another frustrating result on the road for Newcastle today, as the Magpies completely dominated the second half at the Liberty Stadium, yet somehow came away losing to a late and rather sloppy Luke Moore goal after 85 minutes .
