Good News Bad News For Magpies Today

Saturday, May 4th, 2013 · 23 Comments

It was case of good news bad news for Newcastle United today, as we got a very good point at West Ham and a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw, but Wigan are starting the escape they make every season from the drop,  by beating West Brom 3-2 at the Hawthorns and now they are 3 points behind Newcastle with a slightly better goal difference and a game in hand.

Newcastle Get Good Point But Closer To The Drop

Saturday, May 4th, 2013 · 154 Comments

Newcastle gained a good point and a clean sheet at West Ham today when we drew 0-0 with West Ham, but Wigan won 3-2 at West Brom in a surprise result, so we are now 2 points worse off than we were before the game today, with Wigan only 3 points behind us with a game in hand and they now have a better goal difference – this is unbelievable.

Who Was Newcastle’s Best Player In 0-0 Draw At West Ham?

Saturday, May 4th, 2013 · 96 Comments

Newcastle had a clean sheet and held West Ham top a 0-0 draw this afternoon but Wigan are starting their escape route out of being relegated when they beat West Brom 3-2 at the Hawthorns and cut the point gap to 3 points with a game in hand.

And Aston Villa beat Norwich to go two points clear of Newcastle, and Norwich are now level on points but have a one goal advantage on goal difference. If Wigan beat Swansea at home on Tuesday night and Sunderland don’t lose at home to Stoke City on Monday Newcastle will go 3rd bottom of the league for the first time this season, with just two games to.

The bottom line today is that the third bottom side gained 2 points on us – so it doesn’t look good, and it’s now a must win game at QPR next Saturday.

Let us know who you think Newcastle’s best player was against the Hammers this afternoon.
