Things were going just too well – so now we have some bad news that Tim Krul is facing several weeks out of the side with the ankle injury he picked up in the closing minutes of the 1-0 win against Metalist Kharkiv last night.

Pardew – Yanga-Mbiwa And Haidara Brilliant – Krul Magnificent

Alan Pardew’s Newcastle side put in an excellent performance for 65 minutes in the Ukraine last night, when we went though to the last 16 of the Europa league with a penalty from Shola Ameobi,  and then withstood the kitchen sink being thrown at us for those last 25 minutes, plus five minutes of added time – and we now meet Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala in the next round.
