Some good information in the Evening Chronicle today that in the last eleven days of the transfer window, Newcastle could be bringing in up to five new players, in a last ditch attempt to strengthen a squad that should have been strengthened last summer – but wasn’t – and we are paying the price of that huge mistake by being embroiled in a relegation battle.

Newcastle To Discipline Nile Ranger Over His Tweets

News today that Nile Ranger will be disciplined because of the Twitter comments he made after the game on Saturday afternoon, when he criticized fans who were booing manager Alan Pardew, and said if they only were to boo the club then they shouldn’t attend the games – or words to that effect.

Alan Pardew’s Job Safe At Newcastle

The Newcastle Journal is reporting today that Alan Pardew is safe in the Newcastle manager’s job, and that he will be backed him the transfer market, which has just 10 days to go until February. This news – after Sky Sports reported yesterday that Pardew was 1/5 on to get fired, after Newcastle’s calamitous loss to Reading on Saturday, after we had been comfortably ahead 1-0 in that game.
