This time is somewhat like where we were back four years ago, when we had around the same number of points and were about the same position in the Premier League – 14th. But there are also a lot of differences to four years ago, because we have a stable manager and coaching staff, we haven’t just lost our manager, like we did with Kevin Keegan, and the club is a lot more stable now than it ever was four years ago, when Joe Kinnear became the manager.

That R Word Rears Its Ugly Head – Relegation

I’m not the only one who cannot believe Newcastle’s massive change of fortune from last season to this – and although we haven’t used the R word yet – Alan Pardew has today admitted that we are in a relegation scrap – but he hopes the lads can get us out of it before the hole we are digging gets to be too deep.

Keep Playing This Lad In Central Midfield

It was anther horrendous result last night, as Newcastle had victory snatched away from them in the last nine minutes of a game in which Newcastle played so much better than they had done last weekend at Southampton, and while we got nothing out of this game, the passion and decent form shown by our players last night,  will surely help us to claw our way back up the league – and sooner rather than later.

Pardew – A Couple Of Mistakes Cost Us The Game

Newcastle were much improved last night at Stoke than we had been in the dismal loss at Southampton last Saturday, but it was another loss, and a cruel one at that with two bad goals conceded in the last nine minutes of the game after Papiss Cisse had put Newcastle ahead with an opportunity goals a few minutes into the second half.
