We’ve wondered with our poor form in the league, just what Alan Pardew would do with the Europa League tie against Metalist Kharkiv, and whether he would even give it a go, or do almost a surrender, which is what we did at Brighton, once we saw the team Alan put out that day in the FA Cup third round game.

When you consider how well Newcastle played last Saturday, we suppose we should be happier than we are right now, but that defeat, however tough it was on Newcastle, has left us dropping one place in the Premier League and both Southampton and Aston Villa – two clubs who were below us in the league before the last round of games – gained 3 points on us. 🙁
