The BBC is reporting today that Newcastle’s hero on Saturday, Shola Ameobi, will not be going to the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) next month in Nigeria’s squad, and that’s according to his manager Alan Pardew.

Newcastle Winger Could Start Against Former Club

Alan Pardew’s changes in the second half all seemed to work,  and Shola Ameobi scored the vital goal that got us all three points against second bottom QPR, and Gabby Obertan returned from his toe injury and looked good on the left wing, and Sylvain Marveaux also had a good outing and went very close to scoring with a free kick, that whizzed inches past the post.
