Newcastle Deal Done for 18 year-old French Striker

Saturday, October 13th, 2007 · 9 Comments

Newcastle United have reached a pre-contract agreement with French club Le Havre for 18 year-old striker Wesley Ngo Baheng and he will move to St James’ Park in January. The Northern Echo is reporting this story today and it certainly looks to be more official than when we reported it a couple of days ago.

Wesley will follow in the footsteps of Magpies midfielder Charles N’Zogbia, who also left Le Havre as an 18 year-old in August 2004.

If Wesley is anything like Charles then Newcastle will have a winner on their hands.
