Krul And Coliccini Back Soon – Good News On Injury Front

Newcastle goalkeeper Tim Krul and captain Fabricio Coloccini have been recovering well from their injuries, and although they will not be ready for the game at Manchester City on Saturday, both of them could be fit for the second Europa League tie at Benfica two weeks on Thursday.

Steven Taylor Backs Under Pressure Referee

51-year-old referee Mark Halsey has already overcome cancer to get back into ­refereeing in the Premier League, and although he missed that terrible tackle from McManaman on Massadio Haidara at Wigan a week ago, in his report he told the FA that if he had seen it,  he would have given a straight red card to the Wigan player.
