Magpies’ Star Confident Of Success In The Ukraine

It’s always useful to look at the betting on anything – because that’s where the money lies, and usually the bookies get things right – otherwise they wouldn’t be able to make a living and the odds on Metalist winning next Thursday night are 6/7 odds on, and Newcastle are 12/5.

Can Newcastle Make It Through Next Thursday Night?

Saturday, February 16th, 2013 · 8 Comments

A score draw next Thursday night in the Ukraine against Metalist Kharkiv will see Newcastle go through to the round of the last 16 of the Europa League, but we’re not sure how strong a side Alan Pardew can field in the second leg, because we have a game just four days later in the Premier League against Southampton, a team we are tied on points with –  but behind them on goal difference.
