19 year-old Gael Bigirimana joined the club from Coventry City in the summer for around £1M, and he has so far been a success on Tyneside for one so young, and he has already made 12 appearances for the Newcastle first team, and should make a lot more appearances before the season is over next May.

Why Can Newcastle Not Match Top Clubs Financially?

Alan Pardew has talked about how Newcastle cannot match the top clubs on a financial basis, but surely with the financial books now being balanced, and extra revenues flowing in from Wonga from the shirt deal, and crowds at St. James’ Park being around 50,000 again, we should be starting to see money coming into the club that we didn’t have before.
