New Newcastle Defense Showing Real Commitment

Monday, October 8th, 2007 · 9 Comments

Two of Newcastle acquisitions during the summer Jose Enrique and Abdoulaye Faye have had to be given time to settle in to the Newcastle system, says manager Sam Allardyce.

Sam talked about his new players yesterday, after an exciting second half display in which Newcastle took all 3 points, after looking to have thrown the game away with some sloppiness after half time.

Newcastle played a new back four in the 3-2 victory over Everton at St. James’ Park, and they need time to gel, but still managed to get the win yesterday.
