Alex Ferguson’s Fantastic Record In Football Management

Before the game this afternoon, we thought it would be good to renew Alex Ferguson’s record in football as a manager, where he has so far managed in 2109 games and won 1223 of them, for a win record of 58% – and he has won the Premier League 12 times, and he didn’t do too bad as manager of Aberdeen either, from 1978 through 1986, when he joined Manchester United.

Alex Ferguson – Ben Arfa Is An Excellent Player

Alex Ferguson has been talking about some of Newcastle’s top players who will play in the game this afternoon at St. James’ Park – which will be packed full – and he thinks Ben Arfa is an excellent player,  and he thinks Papiss Cisse has scored some fantastic goals since he joined Newcastle from SC Freiburg in January – he’s right about both those points.

Pardew – We’ll Take The Game To Manchester United

Alan Pardew has been very gung ho in the couple of days leading up to our home game this afternoon against Manchester United, after the terrific 3-0 win over Bordeaux on Thursday night, and we cannot remember him being so positive leading up to a game since the run up to the game at White Hart Lane last February, when he said Newcastle would attack Tottenham from the first whistle.

We Have No Specific Plans To Stop Rooney – Alan Pardew

Wayne Rooney has done very well against Newcastle in his career for Manchester United, but not so well in the last few games against us, and the Newcastle manager is saying that the Magpie have no specific plans to stop Rooney tomorrow afternoon at St. James’ Park, in what is a vital game for the Tyneside club.

Finance Company To Sponsor Newcastle Shirts And Stadium

The Sunday Telegraph is reporting that the finance company Wonga will sponsor Newcastle United from next season, and their emblem will be on the shirts, and the surprising thing is that the report says they will sponsor both the shirts and also buy the naming rights to the club’s stadium St. James’ Park –  in a deal believed to be worth around £8M a year.
