Yanga-Mbiwa Could Get Big Chance At Swansea

Thursday, February 28th, 2013 · 28 Comments

Fabricio Coloccini apparently still has a back problem, after doing that crazy overhead clearance in the first half against Southampton on Sunday, but if the Argentine cannot play, it will be a great chance for the excellent Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa to deputize for the Newcastle captain.

Ben Arfa Struggling To Get Fully Fit

Thursday, February 28th, 2013 · 19 Comments

Ben Arfa has essentially been out of the side since he suffered a hamstring strain on Thursday, November 22nd, when we could only draw 1-1 with CS Maritimo, and although he came back for the game at Fulham on 10th December and even scored that great goal, he’s been out ever since, after making his hamstring a lot worse in that game.

Thursday, February 28th, 2013 · 15 Comments

Newcastle’s form in the first ten minutes or so of our match against Southampton on Sunday was not good,  and we went behind after only three minutes to a sloppy goal – from a Newcastle viewpoint –  and it turns out we’ve only won two games this season when playing in the league after playing away in the Europa League on the preceding Thursday.
