Danny Simpson Return Brings Up Contract Issue

Yohan Cabaye To Start Tonight – But Not Ben Arfa

Bordeaux Manager – Newcastle The Best Team In The Group

The Bordeaux manager Francis Gillot has said that Newcastle are the best team in group D of the Europa League,  but he also says Newcastle has two teams, one they play in the Europa League and one they play in the Premier League, and of course he’s right, and we doubt the mid-week team is the best in the group – and unfortunately Bordeaux will play their strongest side tonight at St. James’ Park.

Newcastle Defender Returns To Action Tonight

It looks like Danny Simpson will be back tonight, after finally recovering from his Achilles injury he picked up in the last home game in the Europa League, against Atromitos in late August, a game Newcastle won 1-0 to qualify for the group stages of the competition.
