Pardew – Squad Is Stronger Than Last Year At This Time

In the two polls we are running 47% of readers think the Newcastle squad is stronger than it was last year at this time, even though 74% of fans are dissatisfied with the  summer transfer window, and would presumably have liked to see more players brought to Tyneside.

It’s An Unprecedented Opportunity For Newcastle’s Youngsters

Alan Pardew  will not play his first team in the Europa League this season, and he has been interviewed in today’s Sunday Sun by Mark Douglas, and Alan says he will give a chance to his top youngsters, and he thinks it’s an unprecedented opportunity for them at Newcastle this season, and they should take their opportunity with both feet.

Pardew Worried About The Form Of Cisse And Demba Ba

Alan Pardew has been talking about the form of his strikers before today’s game with Aston Villa at home, a game we have won these last two seasons, but of course we’ve only had two league games so far,  and Demba Ba scored that great goal in the first game against Tottenham, and Papiss Cisse has still to score. So there’s no real need for too much concern – not yet anyway.
