Alan Pardew was asked right at the end of his press conference about Nile Ranger, and if he had anything to say about Nile Ranger coming back into the first team squad, after all the problems Nile has been in with the Northumbria police over the last 17 months or so.

Joey Barton – Liverpudlian’s Ridiculous French Accent – Video

Yes, we’re late on this, but what is Joey Barton thinking about, as he talked to the press with a French English accent – like a Frenchman speaks English – we couldn’t resist from putting this out, and in yesterday’s press conference for the Stoke game – Alan Pardew laughed when a reporter brought it up, and Alan said it had indeed been talked about in the Newcastle dressing room, and the French boys can’t quite work it out.

Here it is, and notice how the Liverpool accent creeps through now and again:

Newcastle’s One Goal From 200 Corners – Demba Ba’s Hand Ball

Alan Pardew – Forget About A Top Six Finish

In his press conference yesterday Alan Pardew was asked whether Newcastle could still finish in the top six this season, and he answered it by saying that without some of our best players,  it’s going to be a very long run until February 1st rolls around. Looking at the fixture list we have to play 11 league games – so that’s a full 33 points up for grabs – without the likes of Steven Taylor and Yohan Cabaye in the side.

A Few Egos Hurt – Pardew Looks To His Senior Players

Alan Pardew gave his press conference yesterday and the mantra, at least for that press conference yesterday for the Stoke game tonight was “tell it like it is – and don’t make excuses”. And we have to think that John Carver has whispered in Alan’s ear that Newcastle fans don’t like to hear excuses – we had enough of that when Graeme Souness was manager.
