Ian Wright played with Alan Pardew at Crystal Palace from 1987 until 1991, when he joined Arsenal, where he really made a name for himself, and he has complimented the Newcastle manager today , who received a new eight year contract for himself and his staff yesterday, as one of the best managers in the Premier League.

LLambias On Debuchy And Douglas – They Were Too Expensive

Its’ not very often that Derek Llambias talks about what happened in the transfer window but he has done that, and he talked about Mathieu Debuchy and Douglas yesterday, and it seems they were just too expensive, and Newcastle weren’t prepared to pay over the odds for two of their transfer targets this summer.

Newcastle Goalkeeper Proves He Has The Ability

Before the game last Thursday we thought that Newcastle’s third string goalkeeper, Rob Elliot, was an average goalkeeper – at best – but we’ve been proved wrong (what again?), and Rob has put in two very good performances for Newcastle, without making one mistake, and he’s still young at on;y 26, and has ample time to improve further.

James Tavernier Takes The Honors Last Night

We knew James Tavernier has great potential, but Alan Pardew and the Newcastle coaches must have been thrilled with the performance the 20 year-old put in for the side at Old Trafford last night, and he did himself a lot of good a great display, and he’s easily winning the honors as our Man of the Match with 44% of the vote.
