Newcastle Linked With Belgium U21 Goalkeeper

Tuesday, June 28th, 2016 · 51 Comments

Newcastle have been linked with Belgium U21 goalkeeper Matz Sels in the Belgium press today and he plays for Gent in the Belgian Pro League.

Just why Newcastle would be interested in another goalkeeper at the moment is a good question, but a report on today’s HLN.BE web-site says he’s on his way to the north-east to join either to Newcastle United or Middlesbrough.

The Benitez Boost – Newcastle Have Already Grown As A Team

Tuesday, June 28th, 2016 · 6 Comments

Ayoze Perez has been linked over the last few days with four Premier League clubs, but that’s all paper talk and the Spanish U-21 forward is going nowhere this summer.

Ayoze has been delighted that one of Spain’s most famous managers is now at Newcastle and the young forward has talked today of the impact Rafa Benitez has already made at the club.

Rafa has already had extensive changes made at the Benton Training grounds with the internal configuration of the rooms so the players can relax more between training sessions and build up team spirit in the process.

Summer Transfer Breakthrough At Newcastle Is Imminent

Tuesday, June 28th, 2016 · 14 Comments

Last Thursday Rafa Benitez said that our first signing of the summer was very close, and once that was completed there would probably be as many as three other signings on the way.

At the time local reports said the Newcastle manager was hoping to make the four signings within the week, but it’s now five days later and no first signing has been completed – not yet anyway.

Alan Shearer Keen To Be New England Boss

Tuesday, June 28th, 2016 · 10 Comments

The latest demise for England in a major Championship was last night and we shouldn’t be too surprised about it, because it happens every two years like clockwork.

Iceland looked a good side in Nice last night when they beat England 2-1 and they deserve every credit – they were great!

They are a country that is 1/150th the size of England in terms of population – a true minnow – and the latest disaster  has sparked former Newcastle great Alan Shearer to say he is now interested in the England job.
