More Good News For Newcastle

Friday, October 2nd, 2015 · 48 Comments

We didn’t expect him to be fit but it’s now being reported that Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany will definitely miss the game tomorrow against Newcastle United at the Etihad Stadium.

On Kompany is down as having a calf/shin injury and that he will not return to training until 17th October.

The good news for Newcastle is that City are a stronger side with the Belgium International in the starting line-up.

Newcastle Players To Become A Lot Smarter

Friday, October 2nd, 2015 · 2 Comments

There’s news today in the Shields Gazette that Newcastle players are being measured up for new club suits to be issued in the near future.

Steve McClaren has said it was important that Newcastle players come to the home games well dressed in suits although a couple of new players, Chancel Mbemba and Florian Thauvin, overdid it a bit when they turned up in tuxedos.

Newcastle Veteran Could Get Shock Recall For City Game

Friday, October 2nd, 2015 · 10 Comments

Jack Colback seems to be touch and go for the game at the Etihad tomorrow and when assistant coach Paul Simpson was interviewed on nufcTV a few days ago he said the local lad was a major doubt for the game.

If Jack cannot make it there are a number of players who can play in the holding role for Newcastle including even captain Fabricio Coloccini.

Newcastle Star Confident Of Result Tomorrow

Friday, October 2nd, 2015 · 3 Comments

Dutch international Gini Wijnaldum is still getting used to English football but seems confident that Newcastle can get a result tomorrow at the Etihad Stadium where we have never won a league game so perhaps tomorrow is a good time to do that.

The Newcastle players have taken some stick already this season after losing four games in a row and losing at home to both Watford and Sheffield Wednesday before turning up last Saturday with an excellent display against reigning Premier League Champions Chelsea when we got a 2-2 draw.

Mitrovic Has Learned A Lot – Issues Rallying Cry

Thursday, October 1st, 2015 · 45 Comments

It’s now very obvious that Newcastle missed new signing Aleksandar Mitrovic in the three games he missed after being sent off via a straight red card after 16 minutes against Arsenal.

We lost that game 1-0 and then  lost games against lesser opposition at West Ham and at home to both Watford and Sheffield Wednesday.

But then the lads came roaring back with a good 2-2 result at home against Chelsea with the 21 year-old striker back in the side.
