Incredibly Upbeat Interview With This Newcastle Player

Sunday, February 7th, 2016 · 222 Comments

Steven Taylor has a very good game for Newcastle yesterday and that was impressive especially since t was his first appearance for Newcastle since late August when he played the full game in the 0-0 draw at Old Trafford.

His experience and great heading ability could make a huge difference for us in the run-in to the league, but the main thing is to keep Steven fit.

Young Striker Issues Warning To Newcastle Players

Sunday, February 7th, 2016 · 11 Comments

Aleksandar Mitrovic had a good game for Newcastle yesterday in what was such a crucial 1-0 win against West Brom – and it was Mitro’s great goal after 33 minutes, brilliantly set up by Jonjo Shelvey that proved the difference between the sides.

We know if was a good goal because the great Alan Shearer called it a brilliant finish and Alan knows all about scoring goals and how good they are.

Bur we missed too many chances once again – and at some point this season we have to start converting the chances to get our goal difference improved and get a few (lot) more wins on the board.

Newcastle Must Keep This Player This Season

Sunday, February 7th, 2016 · 122 Comments

There were quite a few of Newcastle’s players put in what could be called Man of the Match displays yesterday against West Brom and it’s a long time since so many of Newcastle’s  players played near their best form.

One of those players was a shock starter yesterday – Cheick Tiote – and you wonder what Henri Saivet had done wrong after being one of our best players in the debacle at Everton in midweek.

But the Ivory Coast international soon showed that McClaren had made the right call as Cheick quickly got a grip on midfield and looked like the player he was in his prime.

And he scored another great goal – but it was controversially disallowed by the referee, much like the goal he scored against Manchester City a couple of years ago.

Alan Shearer In Complete Awe of This Player Yesterday

Sunday, February 7th, 2016 · 45 Comments

Alan Shearer was like any other fan at the end of the game yesterday – just absolutely delighted we had got what he called a big big 3 points.

And on top of that we put in a very good performance too, although to be sure the results are the most important things these days given our position in the league table, although we did move up to 4th bottom – and outside the relegation zone – that´s good.

On BBC Match of the Day last night Alan Shearer seemed in awe of Jonjo Shelvey´s great display at St. James’ Park for the second time running.

Townsend Humbled By Reception Of Fans Yesterday

Sunday, February 7th, 2016 · 34 Comments

Andros Townsend had a very good home debut for Newcastle United yesterday and for once this season we had a threat down the left wing as Andros ran at the West Brom defense continually and showed he can cross the ball with either foot.

The winger almost scored a great goal in the second half,  but the ball hit the bottom of the post with Ben Foster beaten.

Andros got a great reception when he came off late in the game – it was well deserved.
