Benitez – Winning In This Way Is A Boost For Everybody

Wednesday, September 28th, 2016 · 11 Comments

Rafa Benitez kept Dwight Gayle and Mo Diame in the side for tonight’s game against Norwich City even though they missed several chances at Aston Villa on Saturday.

But Rafa has managed close to 1,000 games (982 to be exact) and he knows when players should be dropped and when to keep them in the side.

And Rafa was rewarded by keeping Dwight in the side with three excellent goals from the former Crystal Palace striker – he now has 7 goals for the season.

Wednesday, September 28th, 2016 · 33 Comments

I can sympathize with Mick – it was heart attack conditions in stoppage time tonight when Newcastle equalized through Yoan Gouffran 5 minutes into the six minutes allotted and then hat-trick hero Dwight Gayle – fittingly Newcastle’s number 9 – scored the winner one minute later.

Shearer Reacts To Newcastle’s Sensational Win Against Norwich

Wednesday, September 28th, 2016 · 24 Comments

Geordie legend Alan Shearer has reacted to Newcastle’s simply sensational comeback win after we were 3-1 down after 69 minutes and 3-2 down four minutes into stoppage time.

The hero was Dwight Gayle with a hat trick and he scored the late winner a full six minutes into stoppage time.

The Newcastle number 9 (Gayle not Shearer) now has 7 goals for Newcastle this season – this is a very vital 3 points for Newcastle but we must win at bottom of the league Rotherham United on Saturday.

Newcastle Win With 2 Goals In Last 2 Minutes Of Stoppage Time

Wednesday, September 28th, 2016 · 21 Comments

Dwight Gayle hit a magnificent hat-trick for Newcastle tonight as we scored twice in second-half stoppage time after being 3-1 down to Norwich after 69 minutes and in fact 3-2 down after 94 minutes to win this absolutely crucial game for Newcastle.

It makes the last minute equalizer by Aston Villa on Saturday easier to take when we lost those  2 points – but somehow tonight we gained 3 points in the last two minutes of stoppage time.
