It;s looking like there is every chance that John Carver will play Jonas Gutierrez in the first team for the first time since he made a 71st minute substitute at Cardiff City on October 5th of 2013 when we won that game 2-1 with two goals from Loic Remy.

Alan Shearer – Mike Ashley Has Killed Newcastle’s Ambitions

Sunday, March 1st, 2015 · 13 Comments

Alan Shearer didn’t have a happy time of it as the manager of Newcastle for those last eight games of the season back in 2009, when we could only get 5 points from the 24 on offer, and we were relegated when we lost 1-0 at Aston Villa in the final game of the season.

That was Mike Ashley’s second season in charge of Newcastle United.
