Returning Star Praises Rafa – He’s The Best Manager

Monday, August 22nd, 2016 · 30 Comments

Aleksandar Mitrovic will finally return to the Newcastle team for tomorrow night’s game against Cheltenham in the second round of the EFL Cup and it will be great to have Mitro back in the side.

The young striker has now served his four match ban for getting sent off twice last season, the second time being in the second half of the last game against Spurs.

The Slovakian International striker scored 9 Premier League goals last season in his first season in England and his style is well suited to the English way of playing football.

Rafa Talks About What’s Needed At Newcastle

Monday, August 22nd, 2016 · 62 Comments

One reason we were delighted with the result on Saturday and the good performance of the side, was that we didn’t think our current team could grind out that kind of win on the road.

So the fact they did that and the players played their hearts out at Bristol City was really good and augers well for the future.

New Arrival 70% Fit – Promises To Run All Game When Fully Fit

Monday, August 22nd, 2016 · 2 Comments

Senegal midfielder Mohamed Diame had a very good first half at Ashton Gate and brilliantly set up the winner for Dwight Gayle after 19 minutes.

Gayle dispatched the ball into the back of the net in great style with his left foot – a terrific goal from Newcastle to win the game.

But Mo couldn’t keep up his dominance in the second half because he is not yet fully fit and Newcastle hung on and defended competently to get our second win in a row – the first time we have done that this year.

Frank De Boer Talks About Moussa Sisssoko Being Interesting

Monday, August 22nd, 2016 · 18 Comments

There were reports over the weekend that terms have been agreed between Moussa Sissoko’s representatives and Inter-Milan and it seems the next step is for the Italian club to make a formal offer to Newcastle for the unhappy midfielder.

But with only 9 days left in the summer transfer window it does seem that this saga will now go down to the wire – something Rafa Benitez did not want to happen.
