Newcastle Expecting Mammoth Bid For Moussa Sissoko

Thursday, July 28th, 2016 · 26 Comments

The Telegraph are reporting today that Real Madrid are ready to bid for Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko, but will wait until Manchester United have signed a massive deal to get Paul Pogba to Old Trafford.

Real Madrid had some interest in signing Pogba, but it looks like they will miss out and turn to the Newcastle midfielder, who had great games in both the semi-final and final of the Euro 2016 tournament in France, which the host country lost to Portugal 1-0.

Rafa Benitez Praises Two Unlikely Newcastle Players

Wednesday, July 27th, 2016 · 6 Comments

Rafa Benitez talked to nufcTV today after the 2-0 win over Southend United last night and he has praised both Vurnon Anita and Yoan Gouffran, our two unlikely goalscorers.

Rafa is particularly pleased with Vurnon Anita, who seems to be able to play anywhere for Newcastle and he’s a player that Rafa Benitez obviously trusts a lot.

Why My Hat Is Off To Rafa Benitez

Wednesday, July 27th, 2016 · 7 Comments

Phil Brown has given some significant praise to Rafa Benitez today for staying on at Newcastle after we were relegated – and that he has not deserted a sunken ship – so to speak.

Phil has pointed out that Rafa has stayed on board for the significant challenge he has taken up of steering Newcastle United back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

Rafa does seem to have owner Mike Ashley and Managing Director Lee Charnley right behind him in what is a united club at the moment; the most united and together Newcastle have been since the great Sir Bobby Robson was manager from 1999-2004.

Rafa Still Wants Four Or Five Players Brought In This Summer

Wednesday, July 27th, 2016 · 75 Comments

Southend United manager Phil Brown has kind of spilled the beans a little bit when he was interviewed in the Journal today and said that Rafa Benitez told him he still wants four or five players brought in this summer.

That probably means Rafa still sees a number of players leaving Newcastle before September rolls around.

And Rafa wants to get promoted and also with the Championship, although that doesn’t come as a any big surprise.

This New Youngster Already Thriving Under Rafa Benitez

Wednesday, July 27th, 2016 · 30 Comments

One of our best players in this preseason seems to be new boy 21 year-old holding midfielder Isaac Hayden, who was brought in from Arsenal for a low £2.5M.

Issac immediately impressed in his early interviews as someone who had no doubt he wanted to come to  Tyneside and that he wanted to play for what he considered one of the best managers in the world in Rafa Benitez.

So off the field Isaac got off to a good start at Newcastle and he came across as a really smashing young lad.
