Newcastle Crowd So Important To Survival

Friday, February 5th, 2016 · 11 Comments

It´s well known in the football world that Newcastle have some of the best fans in the world, but they have been sorely tested over the last year by a series of displays that simply haven´t been good enough and the last time out at Everton was a case in point.

We were still in the game with two minutes to go at 1-0 down but two daft penalties we gave away made the result that much worse – 3-0 – and did nothing to help our goal difference which is now a pathetic -19.

That was our exact goal difference when we were relegated back in 2009 with 34 points and if we get a point a game in our last 14 games we will end up with 35 points and be relegated again.

Newcastle´s Injuries Starting To Cause Problems Again

Friday, February 5th, 2016 · 10 Comments

Chancel Mbemba has started every Premier League game for us so far this season but when he had to come off at Everton on Wednesday night just before half time we had both back-up center-backs Jamaal Lascelles and Steven Taylor on the bench.

Jamaal came on and got himself sent off at the very end of the game and is now suspended for tomorrow´s game against West Brom and Paul Dummett had a tight hamstring (again) and didn´t return in the second half.

Nightmare Gets Closer – Can Newcastle Beat West Brom – Poll

Friday, February 5th, 2016 · 10 Comments

Tomorrow´s game is an important one because we seem to get most of our points at home and after this game we have two games on the road at Chelsea and at Stoke and most people wouldn´t think we can much out of those games.

Not if our away form at Everton is anything to go by.

But if we cannot beat West Brom then Newcastle nightmare of being relegated after paying out £81M on new players since last season would be one step closer – one game closer.

We are also in a slump of only 4 points from our last seven league games.

Relegation Would Be A Thousand Steps Back For Newcastle

Thursday, February 4th, 2016 · 83 Comments

If we are relegated this season it would not only be a huge financial hit to the club which means we couldn’t use the extra money to strengthen our squad.

But it would also be another huge embarrassment for a club of the magnitude of Newcastle United – currently the 17th richest in the world – but of course nowhere near that as far as our squad goes – and that in a nutshell is the current problem.

Mike Ashley – thinks – are Newcastle going to lose all that revenue?

Newcastle Board Culpable For Mess – Mainly These Two People

Thursday, February 4th, 2016 · 34 Comments

We see there are still some people who are blaming Mike Ashley for the mess we are in at the moment – and this season has simply been a continuation of last season´s nightmare under John Carver.

Nothing has improved – in fact things are worse and we have been struggling with relegation all season.

But Mike Ashley last May did change the way he ran the club by taking himself off the Board and appointing the Board members as Lee Charnley, Graham Carr, Steve McClaren and Bob Moncur with the first two really running the show.
